AC Power Adaptor for Nintendo Wii Console

Be aware that the adapter sold here was designed for 110V only and not the dual voltage type 100-245V as stated. For those of you planning to use the wii adapter in your country that requires 220V, be prepared to use a voltage converter if you buy this product.

This product works fine on our smaller television. But it causes 'static' on our large screen plasma. The static is bad enough that we simply could NOT use this power adaptor with our large Plasma. We switched back to The original Wii Power adapter that came with our Wii and that one does NOT cause any static on our large screen Plasma. Hope this helps.

This product is great and does what it's supposed to do, though the cable is shorter than the original AC Adapter.

I was a bit skeptical to purchase a non-Nintendo branded power adapter. However, I figured, it's JUST a power cord, what could go wrong?

I took it out of the box, plugged it in, then plugged it into my Wii. Things were fine for about 10 minutes then I heard a POP. Nothing seemed strange, I just thought it was something else.

Shortly after the Wii shut off. I turned it back on and now I heard popping and zapping. It was coming from the power adapter. I quickly unplugged it and noticed an electrical burn smell. More than likely a bunch of cap's inside blew out.

I don't know if there is permanent damage to the Wii, but I will not even take the chance for another unit.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Absolutely crappy picture with LCD my TV. Creates waves of vertically scrolling static. I tried it on two different LCD TVs, same result. Cannot compare with Nintendo brand power cable. Eforcity ships fast and is excellent vendor, but this product is not worth purchasing if you are concerned in the least with picture quality! I went to Nintendo's website and got a refurbished one for $15. Too bad I wasted my money buying this one first!

if you're reading these reviews, you've discovered the unfortunate tendency for your wii's power station to turn into a brick at the slightest provocation (power surge, storm, whatever), and you have to do something about it or risk never being able to play mario kart again. well, for 6 bucks-ish, this will certainly do the trick. plugs right in to your wii without a hitch, no compatibility issues at all (note, i'm in the US and so is my wii, so i won't be commenting on the debate in some other reviews about what voltage this actually works with. it works fine on standard us household current).

however, some of those other reviews that complain about static on the big screen? dead on. the static isn't so bad that it obscures what you're doing or makes it at all difficult to play games or watch netflix movies, but it is noticeable as is a decline in output picture quality in general (fortunately, it's most noticeable on the white-background wii home screen, and much less so on moving/colorful game or movie images). it's now kind of like you're watching an analog signal on your digital big screen tv. is it due to poor (cheap) shielding? some of those voltage compatibility issues? do i need to just move it around to find "the sweet spot" as though it was a rabbit-ear antenna? the world may never know. but hey, for $6ish, mario kart & netflix work again.

This power adaptor is working great with my Wii. It is inexpensive and i don't need to spend $$ to buy the original one. Eforcity also provides the fast shipment, the item arrived on time.

This item works as described in US. I have to test it on 240 Volts yet which i will be doing when i go back to India. This is much lighter then original power adapter though, it is working good so far & i hope will work as described when it will be used in India at 240V power.

The power cord for the Wii quit working. I ordered a replacement from this seller and it is working perfectly. Also was shipped in a timely manner. Thanks.

This power adapter for the Wii works just like the original with the only difference that it fits just slightly tighter than the power supply that came packaged with the game system.
