Let me first be clear that I did not test these on a HDTV, just and old picture tube standard definition TV. Monster Cables were the clear winner though. A noticeable improvement in picture quality and clarity. But these Intec cables had a pretty decent picture, just a tad downgrade from Monster.
You can’t see it in the Amazon picture, but these are very well made cables. Very thick and bulky plastic covering with heavy metal gold plated heads. The wire part has dark green transparent plastic, showing some sort of woven material covering the copper wire. Looks like a dark green snake coming out of your XBox. Pretty cool looking. And it’s nice and long, just a little shorter than Monster. And the heads slide on easy to your TV, not too tight or loose.
Oddly, it feels like someone greased these cables. A light greasy coating on the entire cable. Not sure what it is. Maybe a result of ageing plastic. Keep in mind that these are now over 10 years old. Not a huge deal as you can simply rub it off.
Decent picture quality
Gold plated connectors
Only decent picture quality
Monster Cable picture quality is noticeably better
I bought these being tight, only to later replace them with Monster Cables. I would only recommend them for those that only rarely play their XBox and want to save a few bucks. Intec made some decent cables, obviously their best shot at competing with Monster Cables. They fell short but still made a pretty good component cable.
