I simply love these. They are so much more compact than a three ring binder. As a college student who feels that its better to be safe than sorry, I carry around a ton of things which make my backpack really heavy. But these folders are very lightweight and easy to use. Simply three hole punch your papers, slide them into the metal fasteners and put the other side of the folder back on. When I first saw these in my school bookstore, I bought about four at one go, then loved them so much and when I went back, they were all sold out. I've tried to find them every time I stop by and at other office supply stores, but they're simply not there. I find that amazon has one of the best prices for these with fast shipping, so that really nice.

If I had to pick a few things that I didn't really care for regarding this folder it would be that it is pressboard, so you would want to have it out in the rain. And also, the metal fasteners are aligned such that you can only add papers to the front, so if you plan to take notes in class and want to add your each page at the end of each lecture, it takes a few extra seconds. And the cover will cover about .75 in of your paper margin so be aware of that.

However, all of those "cons" are not stopping me from buying more of these. They are just so much more compact and gives me the feel that I'm making a book that I just love it! I use these for reports (it makes reports look very professional since they are very sturdy)or to compile my lecture notes like a three ring binder. I generally do not write reviews for products, but I love this so much that I wanted to share my thoughts on it. ^_^

Worked just as I expected. I was very happy to find this type of folder since I had been looking for these for a long time. They're great for holding large numbers of holepunched paper together, which is what I use for printed out notes.

I bought four of these report covers because I'm just starting college and I want to make a good impression. I'm sure they'll work fine (I don't know because I haven't started quite yet), but they were mildly bent and slightly worn when I received them. It's not a big deal since it's barely noticeable, so I'm not going to request a return for the items, but that just kind of annoyed me. So, this is a good solution if you're on a tight budget, but if you can afford to spend a few extra dollars on report covers, do that!

These are perfect for archiving old class notes. My local office supply store did not carry these; they instead had an option that could only hold about 50 sheets. These are better because they can hold upwards of 300 pages.
