I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in pursuing National Board certification. It is easy reading and will help you understand the process. Accomplished Teaching contains useful worksheets to help map out your entries and guide your writing. It is a "must have" if you hope to pass your first year.

I wish this had been available while I was pursuing my National Board certification! I currently mentor candidates and this has become the backbone of our support sessions. Mary Ann Joseph and Bess Jennings create a very clear picture of the breadth and depth of the entire process, with guiding activities and questions to help a candidate form their entries. It should be required reading for anyone who wants to understand the process. I highly recommend this step-by-step guide as a valuable tool for anyone who wants to become a National Board certified teacher, who provides candidate support or who wants to improve their own teaching.
