Smaller incisions mean less impact to your skin, but beware of misidentification....

This product, ACCU-CHEK FastClix Lancets, is a round cannister housing six lancets (needles) which are sealed in the separately-provided lancing tool. One uses the tool by rotating the cannister with a lever within the lancing tool, making a virgin cleaned lancet available. When six lancets have been used, one discards the cannister and inserts another. About sixteen canisters are provided with each package of product.

I use the ACCU-CHEK lancing device daily to produce blood samples from my fingers for blood sugar analysis. When I used the individual common blue "Safety Seal" lancets the skin on my fingers would become damaged over time because of having been repeatedly punctured by the lancet (needle). The skin on my fingers became hard and less sensitive.

That does not happen with Roche's ACCU-CHEK system. The impact to my fingers is less. The needle is more sharp, and its diameter smaller. A smaller hole is punched in my finger tip but the volume of blood produced is adequate for the blood sugar test administered with the ACCU-CHEK meter.

The problem with use of this product is that there is another which appears the same, but is differently sized. It’s difficult to tell the two apart, but they are not interchangeable. They are used in separate lancing tools. I mistakenly ordered the wrong one (it’s called ACCU-CHEK Multiclix Lancets). Don’t you do that!

I am very pleased with the ACCU-CHEK FastClix Lancets.

Love the convenience of the Accu-Check FastClix + lancets. Been using these for about three months, and found that the quality across different boxes of these lancets is very consistent (only had to switch the prick setting once on the lancet device, and that was to reduce the setting from 2 to a 1.5 when I switched boxes). I've used the lancet device that comes with the OneTouch Mini, as well as the one that comes with the FreeStyle light, but I much prefer the FastClix drum lancets, since there's no individual needle to dispose of after each use.

Got the FastClix lancets for $18.97 here on Amazon, which is about $1 more than in the local CVS pharmacy in my area. However, they're not always available at the local pharmacies here, so having the option to purchase them through Amazon's wonderful.

The only "negative" I can think of for these lancets is the fact that the drum only advances. You can't go backwards. So, if you advance through a needle by mistake you can't go back and use it. One thing I decided to do to help make sure I don't do that is to advance a needle right before I use it, instead of advancing after using a needle. That way, the next time I use the lancet device I don't have to remember whether or not I'd advanced after my last use.

I bought these lancet drums to use with my Accu-Chek FastClix Lancet, which came with my Accu-Chek Aviva Plus Blood Glucose Monitoring System.
It fits in the lancet and works as expected.

This fastclix lancets are stored six in a drum like cartridge and you advance it each time you needed a new needle. And when you reach the last needle which is '1' you change it. You have to take note that once you insert the cartridge you cannot remove it as it will not fit in the barrel again as there is a non retractable catch on the cartridge.

I found out that if you did not advance the needle you can still use it again and again. I guess there are those who want to reuse it on themselves may do it!

I love these! I've tried the MultiClix and these. The FastClix are by far, much better. I can barely even feel the needle. As a matter of fact, at first, I didn't think it had punctured my finger. I did it twice and only realized that is was working when I gently squeezed my fingertip and saw two different points of blood. With the FastClix lancets my fingers aren't sore and don't have tiny spots everywhere showing where I've tested.

I just started using this product yesterday and they only gave me a few to start me off, but with making a few mistakes, I was going to run out sooner than expected. Was surprised to find the FastClix Lancets on Amazon for this price because they are $79 at CVS for the same size box. Before you order, make sure you are ordering this product to go with the Accu-check Nano. This is the device I have and it comes with the FastClix (1Click) Lancets (6 sticks per cartridge). I'm so glad I shop Amazon!

This product fits into the Accu-Check Fastclix Lancing Device. How nice that there are several lancettes in a drum that fits into the Lancing Device and it is just a snap to turn the drum to a new fresh lancette.

These are so easy to use and there is no more pain as with old needle prick. Everyone should try these.
