Features and Benefits
Step up to the latest spark plug technology with ACDelco's Professional Iridium Spark Plugs. ACDelco Iridium Plugs are the ideal replacement for today's top-performing vehicles. Iridium is one of the hardest metals used in spark plugs today, which allows for smaller, more efficient electrode designs for improved cold starting and quicker acceleration. Latest evolution in high-performance plug electrode material. Improved cold-starting and acceleration characteristics. Reduced ignition system voltage demands saves wear and tear. New-vehicle applications using iridium plugs continues to increase. Designed to last over 100,000 miles* in most applications.

I installed them and the truck runs great.

These things last for ever … old plugs still looked good at 140,000 miles!

I used this 41-110 plug in my 2005 Silverado Z71 5.3L from 120K to 244K miles with good luck. I wanted to post this review here to provide some help and let everyone know about a rebate as well as address answers to some questions I came up with when trying to determine the current, correct plug to be using in my 2005 5.3L engine which ended up being the 41-962. Details are below.

First, I want to let everyone know about a current AC Delco Rebate Promotion good for the entire 2014 year. Rebates range from .50 to 2.00/plug depending on plug purchased. I have not sent my rebate in yet but don't see why a purchase form Amazon would not be honored. If I have any problems with the rebate I will update this review. Google "delco spark plug rebate 2014" for the rebate form.

Second I want to address some of the confusion out there about the 41-962 Platinum vs. 41-110 Iridium Plug. If you google "41-962 vs 41-110" the first thing that comes up is AC/Delco Service Bulletin 13D-070. This bulletin clearly states that as of 5/2013 the 41-962 is the correct plug to be used in 2006 and older as well as some 2007 plug applications.

Without the facts to support this theory I am guessing this means GM 5.3L engines WITHOUT VVT and/or Active Fuel Management which would pretty closely match that model year split so maybe it has something to do with that but I really don't know what the true reason is they changed the plug recommendation. Some people on the web suggest this change was made because the Platinums are cheaper than Iridiums and this will somehow sell more plugs? They are like 60 cents cheaper each so I am not sure I believe that. I suspect they just found this was a better plug for the application.

I put these in my 2000 GMC Sierra 5.3l with about 175000 miles on it. The previous plugs were Bosch Platinums (not the +4, just regular). They were so worn down that the center electrode was recessed into the ceramic insulator.

Needless to say, installing these in conjunction with a new set of ACDelco Plug Wires (9748GG) made this truck run so much better.

Before installation it would bog and hesitate when doing a 3/4 throttle acceleration from a standstill. It would run rough and sputter when the A/C was on.

After install the truck runs like new and has great throttle response. Turning the key for the first time was a shock because it took much less time and effort to start.

Great product, and they should last 100000 miles! Highly Recommend!

My truck had 96,000 miles on it and the plugs were original. I replaced the plugs and wires because the engine was idleing rough and their seemed to be some electrical interference noise coming through the radio. Changing the plugs and wires solved all my issues. My gas mileage improved by about 1.5-2 mpg's. I am very happy with the level of improvement based on cost.

Iridium is said to be what the best plugs are made of. Even better than platinum. I put them in and it idles smoother, but that happens whenever I put any set of new plugs in. If you like having the best plugs per specification, this is your plug.

Very nice plugs. I have used them in many of my customers cars and they work very good. Great product for getting better MPG and keeping the motor running strong. The iridium is a high quality, long lasting material that will keep you from doing major maintenance. I would highly recommend these plugs.

Bought these (2 sets) for 2 Silverado 1500's and installed them in the 2003.....wanted to wait until I got the AC DELCO wire set for this truck too as I was afraid of destroying some of the wires while taking the old ones off..Anyway....Got the old ones off OK and installed these plugs along with the new wires and truck (which always ran great) runs a bit peppier now......will look forward to seeing the gas mileage improve a bit....I'm sure the 2005 will have a noticeable difference too as that one has over 120,000 miles ...CAN'T BEAT OEM and especially at AMAZON! AC DELCO the way to go!!! All our Chevy's run great with these...
