The check engine light on my 03 Monte Carlo SS was on. I had just purchased the car and the aftermarket gas cap that the previous owner put on had a small crack in it causing the evap code to come up. I researched and found that it is a common problem with aftermarket gas caps. I highly recommend this AC Delco cap since it is an OEM replacement for GM cars.
