3.0 out of 5 stars Wears out after about a week
The bandage works ok the first few days. The adhesive sticks to it's self well enough and I was able to wrap my shins quite tightly. The adhesive quickly wears out though, after a week the end of the wrap often springs free and I have to rewrap. The bandage works ok the first few days. The adhesive sticks to it's self well enough and I was able to wrap my shins quite tightly. The adhesive quickly wears out though, after a week the end of the wrap often springs free and I have to rewrap. Also, according to the directions, hand washing the bandage wears out the adhesive quicker. The bandage works, but I would rather spend the extra money and get one with a clip or velcro.

Also had issues when the bandage was still new with the adhesive sticking to my leg hair and becoming quite uncomfortable after moving around a bit with the bandage in place.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but doesn't last very long, November 13, 2010

I really like the self adhesive quality of these ace bandages. However, I was trying to use them for shin splints around my calves. 2 problems came up really fast- 1. even the slightest amount of sweat destroys the self stick completely and permanently. I've had 3 that all stretched out and were no longer sticky on the ends and had to be taped into place the next time I used them. 2. They don't last, at all. For one to four uses are about the best I can get from them if you will be using them sweaty at all during a workout or something. They are a bit hotter than traditional fabric too and can stick to your skin and be painful peeling them off of bare skin when they've been on awhile. I'd use them again, but only with the notion that they are basically meant to be disposable and not for long term use in the least. If you need something like that, I'd recommend sticking to fabric ones that can be washed and easily reused. I've had other velcro closure bandages that held up eons longer.

3.0 out of 5 stars I prefer the cloth type, January 18, 2011

I needed a non-latex ace-type bandage, and was happy to find these at the grocery store. I wasn't sure what the self-adhesive ones would be like or whether they were washable. Because it keeps sticking to itself it is hard to keep it smooth. It is so stretchy that it's way too easy to get it too tight. The bandage is not long enough to go around the knee area enough times (unless it's pulled too tight). I guess some might find the self-adhesive feature and lack of a clip appealing, but it's easier to put on a clip or two than to wrap this guy.

I guess it's doing the job of supporting my knee ok, but I far prefer the cloth type and am going to look for that kind without latex.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not self adhesive, September 8, 2011

The self adhesive part of this tape does not work well at all. It keeps coming apart and require tucking like the older tapes. Need to return this !

I ordered this bandage thinking it had the velcro edge. It does not. I tried to wear this wrap around my calf muscle, just around the house, and it loosened with every step. The texture of the fabric is terrible as well... it just feels adhesive-y and gross. The bandage does not offer much by way of support or compression. Useless except for the lightest of sprains, not partial amputations...

They have an unusual limit of 3 available for purchase. It's bizarre and not customer friendly. I wouldn't bother ordering from them again unless you only need 3.
