The nails on my toes, especially the big toe, tend to get thick. This clipper powers right through.

These clippers look and feel substantial, which is a good thing for a pair of toenail clippers. When in use though, they produce a very rough cut which forces you to either use another pair of clippers to smooth out the nail or ruin your socks.

These things work great on wiring, cardboard, and cable ties. They also happen to do just fine for their intended purpose: cutting tough toenails. Not just cutting them, but helping you cut them the RIGHT way so you don't make yourself get ingrown toenails. That is, cut STRAIGHT across and not TOO close to your toe. DO NOT cut the edges down into the toe to make them rounded as that's a surefire way to give yourself toenail problems. That's why the blade on these is STRAIGHT ACROSS and not CURVED like you find on fingernail clippers. All in all, good clippers. If you have toenail problems already, I'd advise getting them fixed by a podiatrist first and then using these to maintain your own nails afterward. I'd also say you might try nipping your toenails down bit by bit instead of just trying to do them in one fell swoop. And yes, you're likely going to need to file them down but if you have gnarly man toenails you have to file them down anyway so what's the problem? Your feet take a lot of abuse, take the time to take care of them, they deserve it.

Purchased these clippers after seeing a review on uncrate.com. I am very happy with them, very sturdy and have a solid feel. The clipping collector actually works surprisingly well. I also purchased the fingernail clippers too and am just as happy with those.

My belt sander busted last November when I was trimming my nails and so I was excited when my wife, Harley, gave this to me last Christmas even though I did not think they would work.

Before my wife gave these to me my toenails looked like a mix between driftwood and concrete that was painted yellow.

For my entire life I have not been able to use normal nail clippers but these clippers actually cut through my toenail so much that it sent them flying across the room.

I think one of my toenails actually went through the screened front door.

It was like I was throwing redneck Chinese Stars around my trailer.

Anyhow if you got Dinosaur feet like myself give this a try.

Just remember that you still have to sand your toenails down after you cut them or you cut your shoes off your own feet.

This is a well built item, but it doesn't even come close to opening far enough to accommodate really thick toenails. I couldn't use it at all. Very disappointed!

Big heavy duty toenail clipper! I can't really use it on any other toes but the big toes!! The blades are pretty straight and thick so it's not always that accurate... I cut myself a few times so I stopped using this clipper all together.

ok, so i really liked the look of these things. black and red! nice! and they had great reviews... so, now after using them i like them even more. they certainly have some power behind them and can cut thick nails, not sure i need that much force but nice to have it should "something come up" nail wise, ha ha.

i'd say they are medium size. not too large, not too small. i would advise women with weaker hand strength not purchase them, they take a bit of pinching ability, nothing most can't handle though.

so far only had them a few weeks but no complaints, i expect them to hold up!

Very well built but I still find myself using an older cheaper pair of nail clippers that I have.

I agree that they are well built and resist rust and cut anything but yes they are hard to get under the nail with and they do not leave an even cut, very raged and uneven cut. Not my style unfortunately. Sometimes I guess if it's not broke don't fix it. I wish I would have read reviews first. I usually do but not this time.
