Let me start off by saying that I am a registered Democrat and voted for Kerry in 2004... Yet I have always been suspicious of the ACLU and its activities and have numerous problems with both the Democratic and Republican parties... The Republicons with their corporate welfare and corruption and the Demoncrats with their shameless and vitriolic attacks on the Christian...

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read!, August 30, 2005
This review is from: The ACLU vs. America: Exposing the Agenda to Redefine Moral Values (Paperback)
This book is fantastic. Alan Sears and Craig Osten expose the ACLU and its un-American track record. It's clear that this book was researched meticulously - every assertion is backed up with evidence, often straight from the mouth of ACLU leadership, press releases, or court documents. The biggest surprise was learning more about the origins of the ACLU - it was not an organization that started with good intentions and just "got off track." Roger Baldwin, the ACLU's founder, was an agnostic and socialist who demonstrated Communist leanings and founded the ACLU to systematically undermine the freedoms of millions of Americans. This book has given me the tools to provide accurate information about the ACLU's agenda for America. A must read!!

5.0 out of 5 stars ACLU's true motives exposed, September 7, 2005
This review is from: The ACLU vs. America: Exposing the Agenda to Redefine Moral Values (Paperback)
Contrary to what they would have Americans believe, the ACLU does not defend the rights of everyone. This book does an excellent job of stripping away their "patriotic" propaganda simply by profiling their own cases and quotes. Witness recent efforts, on behalf of a single atheist, to remove a cross from a war memorial, Mount Soledad. Although San Diegans voted overwhelmingly to keep the cross, the ACLU soldiers on in its fight to remove it. They also defended a single atheist in Nebraska who was offended by a Ten Commandments monument. Although it was paid for with private funds in the 1960s and had no received no complaints since that time, the ACLU wants it gone. Everyone must read this book to find out what the ACLU truly stands for -- and it definitely is not liberty and justice for all.

4.0 out of 5 stars Exposes the ACLU for what it is, September 7, 2005
This review is from: The ACLU vs. America: Exposing the Agenda to Redefine Moral Values (Paperback)
This book is aptly titled and does a fantastic job of exposing the ACLU for what it is. The quotes from ACLU representatives alone are priceless! They really condemn themselves. The director of the Louisiana ACLU recently compared school board members in Tangipahoa Parish who open meetings with prayer to the terrorists who bombarded the Twin Towers on 9/11. That's consistent with the stuff I've read in this book. I was amazed at the numerous ways in which the ACLU is trying to tear down America while wrapping itself in the flag. Lots of footnotes, and well documented, this book is an eye-opener and a great resource.

5.0 out of 5 stars Critical reading for Americans, March 23, 2006
This review is from: The ACLU vs. America: Exposing the Agenda to Redefine Moral Values (Paperback)
Talk about a book that is LOOOOOOONG overdue! This is it! In the opening chapter of THE ACLU VS AMERICA: EXPOSING THE AGENDA TO REDIFINE MORAL VALUES, authors Alan Sears and Craig Osten, both attorneys for the Alliance Defense Fund, expose the pro-communist, anti-American roots of the apostate organization. Sears and Osten present internal memos from the ACLU that clearly delineate its true agenda.

In 1976, a federal law was passed called the Civil Rights Attorney's Fees Awards Act. The intention of this Act was to insure the poor would always have access to legal representation in civil rights cases. In its deliberations, the Senate record shows, "in many cases arising under our civil rights laws, the citizen who must sue to enforce the law has little or no money with which to hire a lawyer". But, as all good attorney's do, the ACLU found a loophole; a way to abuse the law in 42 United States Code Section 1988 in which the law has for many years now, been used to secure fees in esoteric battles over the meaning of the establishment clause of the First Amendment.

The statute gives a court, at its discretion, the ability to award attorneys' fees to the prevailing party in civil rights cases. What this all amounts to is, you, the taxpayer, are footing the bill for the ACLU to travel the country in search of ridiculous lawsuits which are counter to the principles on which our nation was founded. Kentucky taxpayers spent $121,500 to pay the ACLU for its legal action against a Ten Commandments monument outside the Kentucky capital. Taxpayers in a Tennessee county paid the ACLU $50,000 for the same "offense". In Cincinnati, Ohio, taxpayers paid out over $46,000 to the ACLU in their lawsuit against a city ordinance. In their lawsuit against the Boy Scouts of America, the ACLU collected over $790,000 of taxpayer money. Taxpayers dolled out another $106,000 to the ACLU in the Loudoun Virginia Library Case. The list of cases is endless and the future looks only to get worse.

The author's chronicle countless cases where the ACLU trampled our fundamental rights and liberties with their self-serving and hypocritical positions. You will discover how by twisting of legal standards in order to reshape American social structure to fit the militant, perverted, and atheistic philosophy of its radical members.

The ACLU's long held secretive agenda of undermining all that Americans hold dear, such as marriage, faith, family, border security, etc., is brought to light in this book. The future of our nation is up to us, dear reader. Do you think the First Amendment should be changed from "freedom of religion" to "freedom FROM religion"? Would you like to see child pornography legalized and readily available? Do you think military Chaplains should be done away with? Are you willing to accept international law over our own American Constitution? If any of this appalls you, then take a stand, and you can start by reading this valuable book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Subversive Organization?, September 8, 2005
This review is from: The ACLU vs. America: Exposing the Agenda to Redefine Moral Values (Paperback)
I define a subversive organization to include any organization which seeks to do harm to our constitution and our constitutional government. The ACLU is clearly shown in this book as a subversive organization under this definition.

The ACLU clearly seeks to take away some - who knows how much - of the rights of the American people. They seek to take away the free practice of religion and the free right to defend one's person and family - and more.

This book exposes in detail their subversive agenda and I think it exposes their reasoning - their true agendas are hidden. The ACLU - far from promoting civil liberty - seeks to take power and liberty as given to us by our unalienable rights and constitutional rights.

Every American who treasures liberty should read this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well-documented, September 7, 2005
This review is from: The ACLU vs. America: Exposing the Agenda to Redefine Moral Values (Paperback)
Just when you think you know everything about the ACLU, this book exposes even more. It goes beyond the ACLU's defense of NAMBLA and child pornogrpahers. This book shows how two-faced the ACLU is--supporting a certain freedom here, suppressing that same freedom there. Makes you realize that they are not just about "ideas" and "ideals" but in fact truly do have a political agenda.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Biggest Threat To American Freedom Exposed, September 7, 2005
This review is from: The ACLU vs. America: Exposing the Agenda to Redefine Moral Values (Paperback)
The American Civil Liberties Union has cloaked itself in the garb of patriotism and has been successful in that campaign of deception for nearly a century. This book lays waste to several popular myths about this dangerous, anti-democratic organization. The first and most enduring myth, that ACLU started out as an admirable group of patriots that has taken a wrong turn in recent years, is thoroughly discredited by Sears and Osten. In fact, the ACLU was established for the explicit purpose of toppling the republic as established by our Founders. This is not mere conjecture, but convincingly affirmed by the words of none other than the ACLU's own founder Roger Baldwin on subjects such as marriage, liberty and his ideas of governance ("Communism is the goal.") The apple has not fallen from the tree at all. The ACLU's current leadership has honored Baldwin's vision. The current ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero illustrates this perfectly saying, "It is clear that we can no longer count on the Constitution alone to protect fundamental freedoms in the United States." ACLU President Nadine Strossen is actually ON RECORD as supporting polygamy and all forms of pornography (within the prism of "women's rights" - huh?). What is clear is that ACLU continues its audacious assault on the law and culture despite continuing attempts at attractive PR packaging.

This only scratches the surface. Sears and Osten peel away the ACLU's agenda an issue at a time and demonstrate how frighteningly anti-American, anti-family, anti-children, anti-marriage, anti-religion/religious expression and anti-Christmas this dark organization really is. From its defense of the child-rape promoting North American Man-Boy Love Association (while working feverishly to shut down the Boy Scouts) to its search and destroy mission to eliminate ANY public acknowledgement of our religious heritage (even on memorials to war heroes), the ACLU's impact on American society can only be measured on a scale of extreme intolerance.

This exhaustively documented work, heavily-laden with references to the ACLU's own words, deeds, policy manuals and legal briefs will shake the faith of even the most loyal "card-carrying" member of the ACLU if read objectively and dispassionately.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bravo! The ACLU Finally Unmasked, September 21, 2005
This review is from: The ACLU vs. America: Exposing the Agenda to Redefine Moral Values (Paperback)
Finally a book to unmask the true agenda of the ACLU to undermine not only the US Constitution, but the American way of life. The authors, attorneys for the Alliance Defense Fund, created to counteract the power of the ACLU in the legal arena, sets out how the ACLA seeks to turn the US Constitution on its head, robbing parents of parental authority, destroying the concept of marriage, wiping out Christmas, denying freedom of speech to Christians. Numerous Supreme Court cases are cited and explained in this excellent book. Two chapters I found of particular interest, one showing the philosophical underpinnings of the organization when it was first formed (no they are not a benign organization that somehow went wrong), and the second demonstrating the ACLU's push to make the international law of it's choosing supercede the US. Constitution in terms of legal precedent. While the ADF is a Christan organization and I am not a Christian, as an attorney I applaud it's efforts in the legal arena to adhere to the principles of our Founding Fathers. It is clear that God was uppermost in the minds of our Founding Fathers. (God is mentioned numerous times in the Declaration of Independence much to the chagrin of the ACLU). It is time that the politically correct thought police of the ACLU be stopped and it's radical agenda for America be revealed. We don't want a society where a postal worker need be fearful if he 'slips up' and says "Merry Christmas" when a customer arrives in December to mail her Christmas cards. In the world of the ACLU he would be summarily sent for thought re-training, that "Merry Christmas" a sure sign of his bigotted mind set. This should be on the required reading list in all college political science and law school Constitutional law courses

5.0 out of 5 stars America's Most Dangerous Enemy: The ACLU, September 8, 2005
By
Thomas J. Morr TTEE (Williamsburg VA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: The ACLU vs. America: Exposing the Agenda to Redefine Moral Values (Paperback)
Alan Sears and Craig Osten have carefully and thoroughly documented the origins, the history, the objectives, the goals, tactics and strategies of the ACLU. One cannot escape the conclusion that the ACLU presents a far more clear and present danger to American society than does El Quaeda. The ACLU has systematically tried to destroy the fabric of America's judeo-christian values and morality and transform our nation into an atheistic, socialistic society similar to what is found in Europe. They have operated virtually unopposed until the organization Alan Sears leads was established and began to confront and confound their efforts. The Alliance Defense Fund is our best hope for leading the battle and winning back our first and most fundamental right in this country: our freedom of religious expression.

5.0 out of 5 stars The truth about the ACLU, September 26, 2005
This review is from: The ACLU vs. America: Exposing the Agenda to Redefine Moral Values (Paperback)
The truth about the ACLU is they do not, never have and never will do single thing, in any manner, way shape or form, to protect "civil liberties".

The truth about the ACLU is that they were founded by communist traitors to our country (this is not an opinion...it is documented fact) who worked at the behest of the old soviet union to try and bring down our democracy and bring the communist revolution to the US.

The truth about the ACLU is that this organization, and many others which are run by all the same people, STILL has this agenda even after the fall of the soviets and the revelation that socialism/communism resulted in hundreds of millions of people being murdered.....most of them worked to death as slaves (again....cold, hard fact) and instituted grinding poverty, despair and outright evil on a scale unknown in human history. Amazingly, they hang on to this agenda even though communism/socialism has done mostly the same thing in every single other place on the planet it has shown up. They work tirelessly to bring that here.

The truth about the ACLU is that they think they can bring down our society by stripping us of moral values, making faith illegal, making it common to murder babies, making it impossible to have a family, redistribution of wealth from producers of that wealth to crack addicts, promoting drug use, blocking government action against both domestic criminals and domestic and international terrorists, and a legion of other screwed up things.

The truth is that these fruitloops call anyone who says "Hey....look what these guys are doing", nazis, racist, homophobes, sexist, environmental criminals and a host of other things that don't even make sense.

The absolute TRUTH is that people in the US are becoming increasingly aware of this situation and are beginning to reject them, once they know what they are REALLY all about.

The days of the leftist traitors are seriously numbered.
