Got these through amazon prime really fast! I ordered the Extra Large size and they are only slightly too big in the front, perfect on the sides I usually wear a 10.5 (wide) US size shoe. Here is the size chart for men from the side of the box: XS:6-7, S:7.5-8.5, M:9-10, L:10.5-11.5, XL:12-13, XXL:14-15, XXXL:16-17 These socks are not scratchy at all they are soft and warm, but not warm enough to make my feet sweat. Great product! On a side note these socks are not for a fashionista. They are ugly but functional.

The slipper sock is tight fitting and if I had not had narrow feet they would not fit. The workmanship is not good. Another product from China!!!!

I've had 2 pair of these Acorn socks...in 20 years! Got the first pair from my daughter (wife) her first Christmas. Today (Christmas 2008) I got my 3rd pair. They keep improving them with each successive generation. Since winter lasts 6 months here, I wear these every evening and weekend for 6 mos. My wife has repaired the toe on the first 2 pair...at about the 6 year mark. Remarkable...You will like these if you want to keep your feet warm, but run out to the mailbox or into the garage sometimes with them on. Great product.

Badly Made Product,

My husband had a pair of Mukluks for 8 years before they fell apart. I purchased a pair of Acorns for him in October and he threw them away yesterday :( Less than 5 months after he started wearing them! The sole separated from the stocking on one and the other never did fit correctly. I purchased these because I was led to believe they were top of the line. NOT the case. Never again.

I've been wearing Acorn slipper socks every day 365 days a year for the past ten years. I literally live in them. What I like about them is that they completely swath my feet in warmth and have a leather nonslip sole so that you can walk almost anywhere in them. I've even braved taking the trash out in them. But, as many other reviewers have commented, they are woven very tightly so the trick is that you have to buy one size larger than your shoe size. Until I learned this within a year of wearing them I put holes in both heels in every pair I bought--and wearing them with holes in the heels is very unattractive. I wear a size 11 shoe and buy size 12-13 slipper socks. The top opening is very tight when you first get them--but it gets looser as you wear them--so don't let the people who complain about the opening being too tight alarm you. Hope this helps.

How can we tell the size?,
By
This review is from: ACORN Unisex Slipper Sock (Shoes)
I can't find any reliable size data for these slipper socks. Do we use Amazon's men's sizes? Amazon's women's sizes? Do we use ACORN's sizing (which only has women's sizes)? This is crazy! How difficult can it possibly be to include some kind of hint as to what size we're buying?

Acorns not what they used to be,

The new "Made in China" Acorns my son and I received for Christmas are not NEARLY as nice as our old "Made in Maine, USA" versions: smaller overall, with much cheaper feeling leather and foam footbed. They're going back; I guess they don't make 'em like they used to. Shame...

I wore the same pair of Acorn slipper socks during 15 years of winters in Colorado and now Ontario. They kept my feet warm and cozy until they wore out and I had to get a new pair. I read all the reviews here and found them educational, amusing and puzzling. I wear 8 1/2 wide shoes and ordered the Men's 9-10 size and they fit perfectly. They are tight but they are supposed to be - the knitted wool tops loosen up with wear. They are made in China but the workmansip is at least as good as my old Acorns made in Maine. One reviewer mentions three times that they are not stylish? Get a grip - you aren't going dancing in them unless you live in Canada.

Still itch they can't be 100% Merino wool,
This review is from: ACORN Unisex Slipper Sock (Shoes)
The only socks I wear are Merino wool socks. I am alergic to regular wool. These socks started to itch within a minute of putting them on and at least part of the wool is not merino wool. If you are alergic to wool as I am don't bother buying them
