3rd pair of Acorns, won't buy anything else! I work at home and live in these! I love that they are high to keep your ankles warm. They last forever (I was waiting for my old pair to wear out so I could get this pair...but they did so got new pair anyway as I like them so much. They have a soft rubber sole so you CAN go outside in them if you want to dash out...even in rain. And they can be washed in the washing machine. What more can you want in a slipper?

Only thing is sizing...this particular style fits a litte smaller than previous versions. I think because the fur behind the heel pushes the foot forward, so it hits the toes sooner...so a women's medium size 6 1/2-7 1/2 is really more size 6-7. Not a problem in other styles I've had.

Ok I got these for my wife for Christmas this year so here she is to review them:
Honestly these are the best slippers I have ever owned. Throughout the winter, if I don't have shoes on, I practically live in my slippers. These Acorn slippers are THE WARMEST slippers, not to mention the soft padding in the bottom that makes you feel like you are walking on a cloud, and the fuzzy inner lining. There were a few people that said these slippers might make your feet a tad too warm sometimes and I would agree with that BUT, my feet are so hard to keep warm that doesnt happen very often. Another feature I liked about these slippers was the rubber sole. I dont have to be afraid of ruining the bottom of my slippers when I go in the basement, on the porch, or take a bag of trash outside. Also, I am not the most graceful person so I need all the traction I can get.

I really love these slippers and hope they are made to last a long long time!!!

Great slippers, very warm and comfortable. It's faux fur for those who also love animals. The only negative is that they are very difficult to get on for me. I have a high arch. But once they are on, ahhhhhhh....comfort and warmth. The bottoms have a nice enough solid rubber sole to step outside with. Nice sippers, great price and value.

I've had these slippers for about 6 months now and still love them. I frequently grab them over my proper shoes when tooling around just outside of the house - this includes getting the mail which is a 100 yard walk down a gravel and dirt path and back again. The rubber sole is fairly stiff but does not make noise against our wooden floors the way plastic would. It's quite a good one (I've had tennis shoes with junkier soles, in fact.) - Nothing you'd walk over sharp objects with (just as you'd not in cheap tennis shoes) but I've had no problem over broken, rocky bits of driveway. You do want to avoid walking through anything wet ... like wet grass. These soak up the water like a sponge. By the time you realize it through your fur lining they are totally drenched and take a while to dry out.

(I can't believe I am admitting this but...) These booties are so warm and comfortable that I once forgot myself and went out to shovel snow in them. I realized before they had a chance to soak any moisture in, but that was when I learned that they have fairly decent grip on slippery surfaces.

I've abused them terribly so they look rather aged, but are fit and fine with no snags or holes. (I've not attempted to wash them at all so don't know how they'd fare through that.) The fit /has/ loosened up over the past 6 months and while I'd not mind having them a tad snugger, I do feel perfectly secure wearing them to traverse our steep and uneven basement stairs, even when carrying a basket of laundry (well, as safe as one can on those stairs!) I've managed to completely flatten the "fur" on the bottom (I'm pretty heavy) which is unfortunate, but they still have a nice "cush" to them from the foam beneath.

I have poor circulation so my feet are usually quite cold. These are wonderfully warm yet my feet never sweat in them. They are quite soft and warm; I can't imagine buying any other type from here on out. I may try a smaller size next time, though, now that I know they will loosen up.

Nice, warm and comfortable. I wear a size 8 shoe and bought the medium and the are just a smidge loose in length. I had to return a medium pair for my Mother though who wears a size 9 because she has swollen ankles and they were too tight around to get on. If I had exchanged them for a large the length would have been too big causing her trip.

These are the perfect slippers, look no further. The sole cushioning is generous and my feet AND ankles stay cozy warm. I hate taking them off.

I had another pair of bootie slippers that wore out. When I tried replacing them I found that all of the usual brands of slippers were now skimping on the cushioning or that they were very short on the heel. I stay warmer when I have a slipper that comes up higher onto my ankle, and I gave my daughter the task of finding some for my Christmas present. These are perfect.

2013 Update: These slippers are like new! I just happened to be going through my Amazon profile and saw this review. I cannot believe that I received these more than two years ago. My favorite slippers may last a VERY long time.😊

2015 Update: Wearing them now and looking through my reviews to make sure I order the right slippers for a gift. They are still like new.

Normally I love ACORN slippers but I wear a size 7 and I couldn't even get half of my foot in these. Suggest you order a size up from your normal size if you want to get them on your feet.

These slippers are cushiony, soft and very warm. They are a bit snug in the toes (I am a size 8.5 shoe and bought the size 9 slippers), but I would think the next size up would be too big. I would definitely buy another pair of these!!

I have a hard time finding nice, warm indoor/outdoor slippers that fit. I wear a size 6 and usually the smallest I can find are 6-7, which are too large and leave so much room inside that the air inside keeps my feet cold. Not with these babies! I ordered the 5/6 and they fit great. They are filled with such soft fur, its like sticking your foot into a Gund. Nice, sturdy sole so I can take the dogs outside or even run errands. Pricier than I normally will spend on a slipper, but totally worth it.

Warm and soft inside the slipper, comfortable, nice color, And not to be gross, but it never gets a foot smell. With rubber soles, I can also take the dog out at night into the yard. Finally, no complaints about a slipper after all these years.
