Product Description

The i-DS3 plus puts 100 watts of system power to work, making music from your iPhone, iPod, or other portable media player sound like never before. It delivers the critically acclaimed Boston Sound using a 25-watt per channel, two-way main speaker coupled with a 50-watt, 6.5" down firing wireless subwoofer. The wireless subwoofer features 2.4gHz technology providing 75 feet of connectitiy range. Just plug it into the wall and the sub automatically connects to the main speaker system. The i-DS3 Plus has S and Composite Video Outputs for video playback from your iPod, iTouch or iPhone. It also has a Auxillary Audio Input on it's rear panel allowing connectivity to another audio source. It comes supplied with a remote control that puts basic iPod funcitions at your fingertips along with Power, Wide Stereo and Volume up/down. The i-DS3 Plus impresses with it's clarity, output capability, and range. It sets a new standard for iPod docking speaker system fidelity.

When I first purchased the Boston Acoustic ipod system I was a little worried at first because no one has reviewed it, and I wasn't very familiar with the Boston Acoustic brand. But now since I have received the system, it is the most amazing thing ever. The sound quality is great and very loud. The base has overpowering sound. Overall this sound system might be better than the sound system that I currently have in my Jeep Wrangler. I was truly amazed with the results I received with these speakers and subwoofers.

This Boston Acoustics HIDS3W powered system with WIRELESS SUBWOOFER IPOD DOCK is the best of the best!! It blast, cranks out anyway you can say it Greattttttttttttt sound. My daughter says its the Bomb. Its sturdy and pretty, its only flaw is the remote control its just ok. 2 THUMBS UP BOSTON ACOUSTICS and AMAZON.COM for carrying this sweet machine.

I bought my Boston i-DS3 about a year ago and was pleased with the sound. Not amazing sound considering the price, but certainly adequate given it's relatively small size on my computer desk as the sub can be put a little ways away. But, within a month the iPhone docking connector stopped working. To work around this, I started using the iPhone headphone jack and splitting it into the left & right channel input to the i-DS3. Then, after about 5 months the treble/mid-range unit started to hiss really badly to the point that it was totally unusable. Since it was within the 1 year warranty, Boston did repair the unit and sent it back (with no refund on my cost in shipping it to them). While, their customer service wasn't exactly super friendly, it was legitimate. Now, the sub woofer unit is cutting out and generally doesn't make any sound. For what it costs, I would have expected much better build quality.
