When I first purchased the Boston Acoustic ipod system I was a little worried at first because no one has reviewed it, and I wasn't very familiar with the Boston Acoustic brand. But now since I have received the system, it is the most amazing thing ever. The sound quality is great and very loud. The base has overpowering sound. Overall this sound system might be better than the sound system that I currently have in my Jeep Wrangler. I was truly amazed with the results I received with these speakers and subwoofers.

This Boston Acoustics HIDS3W powered system with WIRELESS SUBWOOFER IPOD DOCK is the best of the best!! It blast, cranks out anyway you can say it Greattttttttttttt sound. My daughter says its the Bomb. Its sturdy and pretty, its only flaw is the remote control its just ok. 2 THUMBS UP BOSTON ACOUSTICS and AMAZON.COM for carrying this sweet machine.

I bought my Boston i-DS3 about a year ago and was pleased with the sound. Not amazing sound considering the price, but certainly adequate given it's relatively small size on my computer desk as the sub can be put a little ways away. But, within a month the iPhone docking connector stopped working. To work around this, I started using the iPhone headphone jack and splitting it into the left & right channel input to the i-DS3. Then, after about 5 months the treble/mid-range unit started to hiss really badly to the point that it was totally unusable. Since it was within the 1 year warranty, Boston did repair the unit and sent it back (with no refund on my cost in shipping it to them). While, their customer service wasn't exactly super friendly, it was legitimate. Now, the sub woofer unit is cutting out and generally doesn't make any sound. For what it costs, I would have expected much better build quality.

I've been shopping regularly on Amazon for ten years now, and I have never left a review.

I'm not sitting on this one. This unit produces the best sound of any tabletop system I have *ever* heard - blows the Bose WAY out of the water. As in, apples and oranges. I do believe I'd put this up against just about any normal system, as well ... it's got heavy wattage, and BIG, rich, clean sound.

The subwoofer is surely what makes the difference. Together with the genuinely excellent speaker from BA, you feel as if you are in a concert hall. No kidding. (Play with the "volume" of the subwoofer depending on music type.)

The price is quite unbelievable for the quality of sound - I wasn't in the market to pay more, but if I'd been in a position to hear this before buying, I would absolutely have paid twice what I did. I know, I'm starting to sound like a company shill, but folks, this thing has truly impressed me.

It's very hard for me to understand any criticism of its "lack of features," but I suppose that reveals the nature and outlook of the reviewers. If I want a clock, I buy an actual clock. I certainly don't want a cheap looking, bright blue or green illuminated digital read-out in my living room - or in my bedroom. I don't need this to be for my TV sound, it's for my music. I don't need a radio, I use digital files and digital "radio" services because traditional radio doesn't serve my purposes. I don't need a CD player; I'm trying to get all my CDs digitized.

If what you're looking for is a product that has superb sound and not just "for its size," this is the product for you!

I bought this speaker recently for my dorm room and after just a couple weeks of owning it I would have bought it for the original price of $500. It sounds so good that everyone wants to go to my dorm room to listen to music. I have heard a lot of iPod speakers systems and this one is the best. It has really good bass from the woofer and it can get pretty loud. The price is unbelievable. My advise would be to get one now before they are gone. Put it on your Christmas list!

Very good sound for the money . Super easy to set up . Doesn't sound bad without the subwoofer . Sounds great with the subwoofer . You can connect other mp3 players with a headphone to rca cable in the back. I like it a lot.

I purchased this unit originally to use in my office as I spend long hours at work and I loved it so much that I ordered another one for my kitchen! This unit is so easy to set up my grandma could do it :- Also, the wireless subwoofer puts out quite a bit of base for being so small. I highly recommend ordering one (or two) of these!

I loved the speakers, the quality of the sound was great, and it was easy to use. Unfortunately, the unit quit working 15 months after I purchased it from amazon. And what do you know, Boston Acoustics has a limited warranty for 12 months. I'm not sure I'll purchase another Boston Acoustic product after this experience

Systems from Boston Acoustics put out high fidelity sound across its product line.
This is one of better sounding 'main - satellite woofer' type systems out there.
Its flimsy remote controller, however, is a complete disappointment. I have to press a button several times to get it work from only a few feet away. Battery must be still new for I have owned it only a few weeks. I've learned that they introduced this product a couple of years ago. They probably have heard enough of complaints on remote controller by now, but still remain unchanged! I wish they are more attentive to customer's voices, which would be better for themselves at the end.

Sounds great with the extra bass punch. Beats out my Bose iPod player with a fuller sound. Remote not real strong but is fine. Having the separate wireless bass that is adjustable is the best part.
