Nice idea, shame about the build quality,

The ergonomic design of this mouse has certainly helped my RSI. However, the APPALLING build quality let things down as it broke within just a few months. Considering the high price the quality of the construction is just a bad joke. I am now looking elsewhere for a more robust mouse using the vertical grip design...

Great idea; poor execution,

For the 8 months this device worked, I had complete relief from shoulder and wrist pain from mousing. Unfortunately, from day one, I was disappointed in the quality and feel: the hard, brittle plastic, the clunky button 'action,' and the huge footprint. And it took only six months of reasonable use for the low-quality cable attachment to result in intermittent circuit breaks. For the price paid, I expect a good idea AND reasonable quality. It's still a good idea - too bad the quality of this device is awful.

Wrist/arm hurts worse,

i have been using this mouse for a few days now and my wrist hurts more and now my arm hurts too. my hand keeps wanting to rotate back to the standard mouse position. it seems like there is a lot of getting used to for this mouse. you have to retrain yourself. my BIGGEST complaint is that you have to push much harder on the mouse buttons, which is making my shoulder sore. who'd of thunk it?! you also are forced to buy a larger mouse pad (the makers make one that is 8.5"x11") because it falls off of a standard mouse pad which requires you to pick it up a lot. i returned this one for an EVOLUENT vertical mouse which has no retraining time, and i have been pretty happy with it.

I've had this mouse for 3 months. I bought it to alleviate pain in my right wrist. It has done just that, it operates using the large muscles in of the arm instead of the wrist. The right and left buttons can be switched and I use my middle and index fingers to operate them. My wrist pain is all but gone. I also have a keyboard tray with a negative tilt. All of these things combined help me to work with less pain. The price is high, but being pain free was worth it.

Yes they are making a profit but it works!,

Yep, quality could be better but it is the best available. Use with a foot switch for your clicks and its unbeatable. Not cheap but the grip design is better by far than the evoluent mouse. Well worth it - ask workself whats your health worth?

Disappointing,

I got one of these to use at work, hoping it would help my wrist issues. I found it uncomfortable to use. The surface is slick and after a minute, my hand felt sweaty using this device. Also, it's very big and clunky and not very responsive. Other people at work use it and like it, so satisfaction varies. It wasn't the one for me.

First, I've had this mouse for SEVERAL years now (I'd guess around 4-5 ???), and performance-wise, it's held up it's end of the bargain. With that much history behind us, this will doubtlessly turn out to be a comprehensive (ie: long-winded :) review.
About a year ago, the left-click button finally started feeling a really tired (just didn't have as much spring-back as it once did), and it has now reached the point of being so worn that I'm starting to miss some clicks. While I love the concept of the design (it made a HUGE difference in my wrist pain (completely gone)), the first thing I noticed was that it's just WAY too small. Granted, I'm a tall guy, and I'd imagine my hands are a bit larger than average (as a gauge, nine inches from thumb-tip to pinky-tip with a spread hand), but I think the mouse would be too small for even an average sized hand. I'm typically more than willing to put up with problems for the sake of the 'silver lining', and this mouse was no exception. I LOVE that the design has a "sled" for my hand to ride around in so it's not dragging on the desk, but the butt-end (where you end up putting 99% of your arms weight) comes to an abrupt and slightly sharp end. That's a lot of pressure on a tiny spot, and it has dug into my wrist/hand from week one (smaller hands would probably miss that spot). That is my primary complaint on the overall design. The accuracy (DPI) could stand to be improved, but it has sufficed for my uses (predominantly typical office work). Clicking does tend to throw my pointer around a little and the control is a little funky at that angle, but I just slowed down my pointer, and that took care of that problem for the most part. I would REALLY love to give it four stars because it's been so durable and because it DID get rid of the chronic wrist pain, but that sharp-ish edge digging into my hand was a pain of it's own rite. That's a worth 1.5 star deduction itself. Overall...I'm satisfied, but would ONLY recommend this mouse for small hands. In fact, in that case, I might highly recommend it. Otherwise, keep shopping.

Stick with a regular mouse,
This review is from: ACP 0090-0030 Ergonomic Quill Mouse Pc and Mac Right Hand White (Personal Computers)
I found that not only did this product have poor production quality, it did not make my arm feel any better either. Because my hand was not in contact with the desk while I used the mouse, I had to constantly lift up my arm just a fraction of an inch so that the mouse could slide smoothly. That aggravated my shoulder and elbow muscles which were already sore from too much overuse over the years. After using it for one hour or so, I went back to my standard old wireless logitech mouse and I was much happier.

The unit shipped to me was defective. The optical sensor wasn't working properly. I returned it for a full refund. The sensor did work partially and I tried to use it for half a day. But the position of the buttons was down near the base of my fingers. I found the buttons very difficult to use. I prefer to use my finger tips for button action.
