Without a doubt this is the ugliest electronic device ever built. The designer should be fired. That said, it is VERY well made, is VERY sturdy, easy to use, and does everything you need to be found and retrieved when you can't help yourself. Note: the holster release clip is very stiff to activate (had to use pliers and I have strong fingers). After "exercising" it with the pliers, it is now possible, but difficult, to release it with fingers (take notice ACR, this should be corrected for the instruction card is inside). I assume that to provide the service that it does, it needs to be this heavy and large. It is a significant addition to a backpack or motorcycle tank bag. But I would choose this unit again. The pluses far outweigh the minuses.

This item shows up with everything required to register and use the PLB. The TerraFix PLB is a perfect compliment to equipment for any outdoor enthusiast. Although it is larger, it comes ready to mount on the outside of a pack or wear on your person. I would recommend this product to anyone who owns any type of watercraft, aircraft or travels to or passes through remote areas.
