We recently got rid of the cable box in our family room. An unexpected side effect of this change was that we no longer had any way to tell the time in there. This clock (which sets itself, very cool) is an unobtrusive yet helpful replacement. No complaints.

Chaney Instruments Thor Alarm Clock with Set & Forget Technology Pluged it in and it was 10mins. slow. Had to set it by hand and it is still 30 to 45 seconds off. I guess you can expect that for $20.00 Wouldn't buy again

I got this to replace an old simple Westclox alarm clock. This is basically identical in function to the old westclox - same buttons and setting functions. The display is a little too bright if you ask me. The feature where you plug it in and sets itself did not quite work as advertised - it had the right day, but was about 40 minutes off. No problem to re-set the time if you have a brain. Let's see if it lasts 15 years like the old Westclox (it started speeding up of all things).

The only thing good you can say about this clock is that if the power goes out, you don't have to reset it after power is back on. I purchased three clocks many years ago. All of them lose about a minute or so every month. Automatic adjustment of daylight savings time occurs as per the old system (Last Sunday of October and first Sunday in April. Chaney may have fixed this issue in the new models.

I had ordered this clock and loved it and then ordered two more and the new ones and the old ones pluged in next to each other keep different time!

I thought the idea of the clock was to know you always had the correct time?

So far I like everything about this clock. The controls are well placed and easy to use, it's big enough for viewing from 15-20 ft. away but not too big. An excellent value.

I like this clock so much, because once you use it and you do not need to change the time again. It does that automatically for you and you do not need to worry about the day-time saving as well. Recommend to those who doesn't like to change the time twice a year.

I bought it to replace a clock I had that had stopped working, and I loved it so much, I bought more to replace all of the clocks in my home.

this was an excellent choice for a clock. It is a good size, shape & is so convenient & easy to set the time.

This clock was actually purchased for a an eye clinic for the patients to use in order to write down their arrival time.
We like the large easy to read numerals, ease of use and the battery backup.
It's a nice clock and doesn't take up much counter space.
