Feel no real heat build up.

Now my only hope is to deal directly with Adata and try to get a working unit, or I'm out 40 bucks.

If I had time to watch it, it would take about half an hour to show 1% increase in charging.

In looking for my first Qi Charger I spent a lot of time looking at the different models out there and decided to get the ADATA USA Elite CE700 because it could charge both lying flat or propped up. I am using this with my Samsung Galaxy S4 with the S4 Qi back and it has no trouble connecting and charging. I have not found the stand or the phone to get hot. I have this on my desk and it is nice to be able to pick up my phone and go without having to disconnect a cable and then return it to the stand for a quick charge when I get back. Cost wise, I found this to be of a good value since it can be used two different way where most Qi stands are much more expensive. I knocked one star off because when using it on a smooth surface it tends to slide as there is no silicone to keep it in place while being used as a stand as when it is being used flat.

UPDATE 7/15/14 - Well the ADATA USA Elite CE700 has stopped working thus causing me to reduce my rating to a 1 star rating. Since buying this charger I have purchased a couple others that were cheaper and they are still going strong. Really disappointed!

I just ordered a couple of Nexus 5 phones and was going nuts looking for Qi wireless chargers that allowed for vertical and horizontal positioning in an upright matter. It was driving me crazy... why do all these charger manufacturers think that people want to always just lay their phones flat? What if I'm trying to watch videos? What if I use my phone as my bedroom clock? The Tylt charger seemed perfect except the price and all the reports about the Tylt overheating Nexus 5s... unacceptable...

So, thankfully I just happened across an article about the ADATA Elite CE700 being released soon. I ordered several of them right when it was out or about to come out and crossed my fingers.

I have not been disappointed! It allows for charging in both vertical and horizontal configurations with little trouble. I haven't had much trouble with it sliding, but I imagine if it was a bother, cutting up an old mousepad or something would work to keep it still.

It has a light that blinks green when it is charging, but it isn't a light that is bothersome.. it is actually behind the phone and peeks out the side. So you can see the light if you need to, but it isn't an annoyance in a dark room.

I give it 4 stars out of 5, only because adjusting the stand for horizontal vs vertical is only mildly annoying in terms of lining up the stand so it is straight. However, it isn't a "real" issue. Honestly, I would give it a 4.95/5 if I could.

EDIT: Almost forgot to mention... this does NOT come with wall adapters. It only has the USB cord. I first tried to use the chargers that came with my phones, but the charging was EXTREMELY slow (4.5 hours). I then bought several "iXCC ® Dual USB 2.1 Amp [10 Watt] Black FAST AC Travel Wall Charger 2 Port...

I have the S5 with the official Qi charging back, and am currently using another 3rd party charger (the Choetech stadium) and everything works great. I decided to get this as a 'nicer' charger, so I could take my other charger to work, and use this as my bedside charger. Here is how it breaks down:

Does it do it's job?
No. Unfortunately mine just simply did not work. I tried it with multiple USB cords and multiple wall chargers etc. I managed to get it to show charging once, but that was it. I am aware that faulty products are a fact of life so i'm not overly upset. However, from the looks of it, the device only has one coil, which means placing the device could be difficult, especially in landscape orientation.

Quality/Style
Honestly for the price I thought this would be higher quality. The unit basically consists of the actual charger, and a metal piece that coverts it to a stand. The charger itself is very light weight (sans metal back), and feels incredibly cheap. The way the stand works is very rudimentary, not sure what I was expecting, but definitely something more substantial.

As some other reviewers have pointed out, when using the stand there are not grips, which means it moves around a lot. Again nothing major, but seems like an obvious design flaw.

Lastly, I think the charger looks kind gaudy/tacky. Just my preference.

Wish I could have given it more stars!

Overall it's a great wireless charger. Works perfectly on my BlackBerry Z30, as well as my Google Nexus 7 tablets. If I have one gripe, because there's no "feet" or rubber on the bottom, the charger slides all over my desk. I've actually accidentally knocked it off my desk twice already (once with my phone on it! Ouch!). Other than that, which is fixable with a little piece of tape or fun-tak, it's a great product for the money.

I'm using this with a Nexus 5.
I like it, but it's not perfect. It works fine through my slim case, and doesn't get hot.

There cheaper ones out there if you don't care about being able to use it at an angle. This one works fine for me too, it is half the price, and includes an adapter (this one includes just a USB cable):
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EWCEHNS/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Note that the Qi spot is on the top for using it mounted at an angle. If I want to use it flat I need to turn my phone 90 degrees so it can align to the center of the phone.

The charge light is nice, but is often covered by the phone. Also, I have never seen the light stop flashing (to indicate a full charge).
