Stop looking for a magic answer....this books tells you what to do!,

After spending many years, thousands of dollars, countless hours and many wasted emotions of hope on supposed cures, I find it a relief to read the truth in this book. Fact of the matter is, there is no cure for ADD or ADHD and this books tells you like it is, which is basically that we as parents have to get down to learning the appropriate ways to help our children and quit looking for the easy solution in a pill, a brain machine or an herbal remedy. This book has given many different ways that I can help my child and I wished I'd had it years ago.

I have read other books but this one is the best!,

I read a book by an author that was on Dr. Phil and I was surprised that his advice contradicted that of my child's doctor. Our behaviorist's strategies worked much better. Much of what is in this book is what we did; I picked it up and I learned a few new things. I'm careful not to loan it too often because it seems that everyone is now asking for it. And I don't want to lose it. Hands down, I would recommend this title to anyone who needs quick information about what's going on, who to see and what to do."

Wonderful Book on ADD and ADHD,
This review is from: The ADD & ADHD Answer Book: Professional Answers to 275 of the Top Questions Parents Ask (Paperback)
I have worked with children for over twenty years as well as raised three of my own. It's about time someone makes some sense on Attention Deficit Syndrome. How refreshing to find a qualified doctor who doesn't subscribe medications at the drop of a hat. I would recommend this book to anyone who thinks their child has a difficult time with concentration. Arm yourself with Dr. Ashley's book before you take the next step.

Parent's Relief,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The ADD & ADHD Answer Book: Professional Answers to 275 of the Top Questions Parents Ask (Paperback)
As a mother of an ADD teen, I wish this book was published when my daughter was 5. The questions and answers are on point, and easily understood. I would have saved myself many hours and dollars spent in consultations and questions. The questions succinct, the answers in layman's terms. I will suggest this mandatory reading at my next PTA meeting.

I would like to thank Dr. ashley for putting a human face on this issue. Growing up with ADD and not having any teachers or adults understand my problem just compounded the mental abuse and shame from other kids and adults as well as my teachers. By reading this book you will know that you or your child are not alone and that their is a solution to what you may have felt one did not exsist. The many who suffer ADD and their families now have a voice that helps explain who and what we are. Thank you for taking the time and caring.

This is an easy to read, clear cut book. I liked the question and answer format which is helpful when looking for an answer to a specific question. It's like having an owner-operator manual for an ADD-ADHD child. Not confusing like many other books on the market.

This book is very informative and helpful! I have two children who have ADD, sometimes you just feel like you are the only one in such a difficult situation. Dr. Ashley's book not only gives answers and great advice on alternatives to Meds, but she also makes it a point to let you know that you and your family are not the only ones going through this. I have no doubt that what I have taken out of this book will bring a postive influence in my home. I would strongly recommend this book if you have a child or children that have been with diagnosed with ADD or ADHD.
