ADG Sports Aluminum Two Pistol Gun Case

I picked up 1 of these as well as 3 single gun versions when they were $24 each, just before Xmas 2005. They are built nicely with metal hinges and latches.

The description says aluminum but the sides seem to be a sturdy silver plastic, not painted platic thankfully. The frame is aluminum though. Well worth what I paid. I wish I bought the range case before the price went up. It was $42 before.

Only problem is with smaller guns, the padding doesn't hold the psitol tight enough so it moves during transport. Nothing a thin layer of extra padding or magazine added under the thicker padding won't fix.

The locks are a nice extra but won't hold back an older child or adult determined to get at the pistol.

This case is mainly MADE OF PLASTIC!! Don't be fooled by the "aluminum" description, only the corners were aluminum, the rest just PAINTED PLASTIC. The case came poorly packaged! The box was too small for the case. The case had scuff marks, and scratches on it. Obviously NOT BRAND NEW!! This was the worst purchase I've ever made on amazon. Will never buy ADG SPORTS again!!! Their label was crooked on the case too!! Looks like a 4-year-old put it on!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! TRUST ME!!!

I got this case primarily to satisfy Fed/State (CA) requirements for transportation of a firearm under Locked Unloaded Concealed Carry (LUCC) for car travel and walking around in public to/from the car/range and near places like Gun Free School Zones. It is a good case for that, and does its job well. A 6 inch barrel NEOS U22 fits with the action open with at least an inch to spare.

However, I do not recommend it for air-travel, and in my opinion, should not be used for air travel for 2 reasons:

1) It is too small on its own. Easily grabbed and stolen by baggage handlers, and most gun thefts on air travel occur with small cases. I'm putting my firearms in big honking hardsided luggage along with my other stuff locked as a big unit with one big "Don't touch me, TSA" lock. A small locked case within a bigger unlockable case invites theft.

2) TSA guidelines states that the case be in a locked container. This is a locked container, however the TSA guidelines also state: "A locked container is defined as one that completely secures the firearm from access by anyone other than you." For that reason, TSA locks are not allowed to secure firearms.

The ADG keys are the same for all their cases, or at least all the ones I tried at the store. I'm actually using my ADG rifle case key on the pistol case. If anybody else has an ADG key, they can open this case, contrary to the TSA guidline of being unlockable by anyone other than you. The rifle cases have 4 latches, 2 with the ADG key, and 2 with a ring lug to install your own locks. The 4 latch cases are fine as you can use your own lock on the 2 with ring lugs. The pistol case only has 2 latches, both with ADG locks.

Very nice case for the price. I got alot of compliments on it. It passed TSA regulations when I traveled with it. Like everyone else said, it's mostly plastic but that wasn't a big deal to me. The only problem I had was the locks being hard to unlock. After a few times of unlocking and locking it, it became alot smoother. Other than that I'm satisfied with my $30 purchase!

The gun case was pretty much what I expected. It locks with a key. The inside is generously padded to protect the guns. The case, although not aluminum-rather aluminum colored, is very sturdy. My husband was able to fit one firearm, several clips, and a box of ammunition in the case. We are pleased with this purchase. It arrived on time and in good condition.

Bought it to hold my Ruger P95, four 15 round clips, and box of ammo. It does it well.

it has alot of plastic in its construction, but still its a tough little thing.

This looked like a wonderful little gun case that I wanted to use to ship two hand guns from Ohio to Texas. It met the TSA requirement of being hard shelled but it proved impossible to lock. I returned one because of the fault, and the replacement case suffered from the same problem.

Beautiful case and just what I was looking for. The only problem was that the locks did not work, so I have returned the case.

This was a last minute purchase and a very good value. I use this for transporting Glass pipes and it is very sturdy.
