This review is from: ADS API-315 Pyro 3-Port 400Mbps 64-Bit PCI Card (Personal Computers)
I build audio computers and ADS is one of the few companies that use the texas instruments firewire chipsets in their cards. These are the most compatible chipsets for pro audio gear and for digital audio transfer from firewire audio cards and controllers. That's why avid and digidesign certify these cards. I had a recording issue with an M-audio projectmix io and a via chipset card and as soon as i contacted tech support they said ADS. I installed the card and in five minutes was up and running.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best firewire card for audio, hands down, January 2, 2011
This review is from: ADS API-315 Pyro 3-Port 400Mbps 64-Bit PCI Card (Personal Computers)
Simply put, several different makers of firewire interfaces recommend THIS firewire card to put in your computer if you want unflinching reliability. Just goes to show, you have to go beyond what's on the shelf at a local store to get something specific like this for the PC Home Recording Studio market that computer accessory stores flat out ignore. If you can wait for this to come in the mail, it's a no-brainer.
