I was expecting a fitted superman top, a shirt, a jacket, and glasses.

It's a superman foam front, no back, with a couple inches of shirt sewn to it, and then some cloth that buttons behind the neck that is supposed to be a jacket, sewn to that, all one piece. Since the top only ties around the waist, it bows out at the sides and would require modification to look anything like the photo which I find misleading.

For the same price I could have bought a full superman top and then just worn my own shirt and jacket over it. Instead I wore last years costume and threw this away as soon as I opened the box and tried it on.

Simply put, I would have been better off wearing my own suit and a simple Superman tshirt. This costume was awkward to put on and had no way to secure the top of the chest piece, which kept fanning out. The upper portion of the suit simply buttons together, but since there's no "back" of the chest piece, you have to either wear a shirt underneath (recommended, since the suit is scratch and ill-fitting) or show everyone your back.

Not comfortable, didn't fit, wasn't secured. The only nice part was the glasses, which were very authentic and comfortable. That's what earned it the single star.
