These goggles are brilliantly cheap -- exactly the sort of thing you won't feel badly about modifying. The eyecaps unscrew, and contain both a clear and tinted plastic lenses, which can easily be replaced, discarded or modified. The inter-ocular distance is controlled by a beaded plastic chain, threaded through a plastic tube that could easily be cut or replaced for more flexibility. The elastic band is serviceable, but could be replaced with something more dramatic -- leather or canvas, I might suggest.

The tinted lens is fairly dark, so I imagine it'd be excellent for welding, not so great for stumbling around in the dark.

Steampunkers need goggles. These are the cheap ones you see at every con for sale painted up for $40-50-$100 and more. Buy them cheap on here, paint them up for fun & profit.

I really enjoy my goggles, not only are they cheaper than others but if you have plans to create a masterpiece out of them, you will save a lot more money than just buying a masterpiece itself. Very ideal for Cyberpunk or Steampunk projects! I also get tons of compliments every time I wear mine, so get yours too! ^___^

I bought these as part of my halloween costume to be a minion from Despicable Me. They worked great except for the fact that they were too big for my face. The chain part bothered me.

They're not bad for the money. Not terribly comfortable, but for the price you can't expect much. The filters can be swapped out, the piece linking the two lenses can be adjusted.

nobody said it better than the Hoff. Although I'm not sure what he said... but these goggles are super cute! I have no idea if they do the job they were inteded to do, because i got them to amplify my sexy.

These are actually much nicer than what I was expecting from seeing the photo's. I used them for a Steampunk outfit I created for Halloween. They worked perfectly.

I bought these to go with a costume (sorry to all the welders looking for an honest practical review). These are fantastic, and the price was incredible. They fit very well (on my bigger head, although I've read not so well for smaller people), the look awesome, and the lenses can be removed / exchange with ease (unlike the complaints of another reviewer or two, who may have lacked basic dexterity). You can't got wrong with these goggles... and I suspect they would work well for welding too. But for Steampunk, victorian, or just plain cool alt-rock / punk look, these are worth the buy.

I bought these goggles for a costume. I love that they're adjustable and the lens are removable; clear and green. They're very durable as well because I've accidentally dropped them a few times and not even a mark appeared.

They are pretty uncomfortable and hurt My face. They're not all that easy to adjust over the nose, either, which ads to the discomfort.
