We bought a sony cybershot for our cruise back in December 2011. This strap worked great when we went snorkeling. It kept the camera from sinking and floating away and the orange color allowed it to be easily seen. Strap dried very quickly I highly recommed having for waterproof cameras.

Very troubled by bringing my waterproof HD camera in the water & it'd slip fro my hands and sink. NOT ANYMORE!
Thanks to the Floating Strap, it really does work & better than the Olympus orange strap that costs more.
No more worries when I go with my camera.

Just got back from Hawaii and this camera strap worked pretty well. I do have 1 complaint. The strap does not get small enough for the average wrist so I was constantly making sure that it wouldn't slip off. When it did it did float however. So, for the price, can't really complain too much.

The strap was broken on the 2nd day of use at the cruise ship.
Fortunately, the camera has shockproof feature.
I will request the refund and will update here.

It looks a little cheap but I won't complain - it was cheap. At least it works. I tested it out with my Olympus Tough camera which weighs 7.3 oz. and it kept the camera afloat and was very visible from a good distance. I still keep the camera attached to my PFD or kayak though. This is just a secondary safety measure. Let's see how long it lasts but, as of now, I am very pleased with this purchase.

I use the Nikon AW110 (orange) and it works very well with it. I never had an issue with floating in salt water, fresh water, or brackish. One feature I like that I didn't realize it had was the ability to easily detach the the float via a small clip. The color looked a little faded in areas out of the package, but I'm not that concerned with the appearance.

This is both poor quality and badly designed. I used it for my waterproof camera. You can not tighten the orange band around your wrist so it it prone to fall off. The cord which fastens to the camera is very weak and broke. Thankfully I did not lose my camera but I was lucky. Do not use this strap if you value your camera

Bought this strap for a waterproof camera that we use while kayaking. First day out, the quick release lock continually unlocked itself while paddling. Luckily we didn't need to use the floating strap at all, but finding it laying in the bottom of the boat was not comforting. We will get something a little more secure.
