I installed this on my wine room door. It gives a great effect and also keeps the room off limits to the little ones. Installation took just a few minutes. The number pad lights up in a nice blue when a number is pressed.

This was exactly what I was looking for. It has the ability to store multiple codes for different people, and even includes "passage mode"- which disables automatic locking for when we have visitors. This lock was easy to set-up with new codes and install.

I purchased this for my office supply room. It worked seamless until it stopped working one day. All the lights were on. I put the battery backup it it and that didn't help. I had to hire a locksmith to come out and remove it which ruined it. We tried calling their support number numerous times and they never returned the call. Lasted a little over a year. Very disappointed.

I bought this lock so I don't have to carry keys and also to allow access to people by giving them the access code. This door set seemed to fit the bill. It was easy to install, had comprehensive instructions, and allowed for 10 different key codes. All good.

The actual mechanism is a bit stiff so you need a little bit more strength to open the door. But, the major disappointment was that it ceased to work after a week. It seemed to me that there was a weak electrical connection somewhere and although the key pad still lit up, entering the code resulted in a weak bleating sound emanating from the mechanism but it would not unlock. Fresh batteries did not help, still no good.

So in the end, I had to break into my own home, dismantle the lock and wait for another one. I did not buy the same unit, instead bought one with a key over-ride. That to me seemed a better way to go. On the positive side, the Easy Amazon return policy meant that I was refunded and return shipping included.

My advice is to buy one of these with a manual key over-ride so if the electronic mechanism fails, you can always use a key.

We purchased these for a closet in our house that hides all of the Christmas presents. Or favorite feature is the espeniage feature! You begin to enter your code, enter a string of misc numbers and then finish your code. It keeps the kids from looking over our shoulder and memorizing the code! Great deal too!

I wanted a keyless lock for my garage door so it would stay locked but I would not have to carry a key with me all the time. Easy to install and easy to use.

I also like that it does not lock from the inside so I don't have to worry about my kid getting stuck in the garage.

Liked it so much for my last home that now I am here to buy one for our new home.

Before installing, I set the codes, which appeared to be functioning correctly, according to lights and sounds, except that the latch wouldn't engage from the outside knob. I installed it anyway, hoping that the latch might engage once installed, but to no avail. The lock did install very easily. I left the the lock installed and the door open with plans to uninstall the lock and return it.

In the meantime, one of my kids shut the door. Unfortunately, this design makes no allowance for any type of electronic failure short of running out of batteries. Therefore, you have limited options for entry if the electronics fail. I went with with the Dremel option, rather than the busting-down-the-door-frame option, or the breaking-a-window option.

The Dremel made short work of the lock (10 minutes), which is somewhat disturbing. After I cut through the outer housing, it was a simple matter of cutting through the 4 screw posts that hold the internal bracket, popping of the screw heads with a mini-bolt cutter, sliding out the internal bracket, and using the released spindle to turn the latch by hand and regain entry to the room. If there were a next time, I could probably get through it in 5 minutes.

The lock is destroyed, but it was cheaper option than replacing the door frame, replacing window glass, or calling out a locksmith.

Next time I purchase an electronic lock, a mechanical backup will be a requirement.

Ordered two locks. Read the instructions twice. Bought the needed batteries. Layed everything out on a tray, which included the following: Phillips screw driver, batteries, instruction manuel, new lock and parts and just in case an electric screwdriver.
First I removed the original lock and put that aside. Next I took the new lock apart. I then installed the new lock, tightened up all the screws, installed the battery pack and screwed in the last piece of the handle. Set the new code and away with myself.
Second lock was a little more difficult as the door has a kick in plate already installed, so I had to uninstall that as well to remove the old lock. The kick in plate did not pose a problem. New lock installed, code set and away with myself.
I am 81 years old and female.
I love my new locks.
The hardest part is remembering my code!!!!!

UPDATE 4/3/2014
So far the locks are Doing great. Absolutely no problems. the keypad is so easy to use and it is great at night because it has a back light. The handle is a little bit big for my hand, but it still works. Overall the lock performs well and so far has saved me $$$ in lock smith fees.
