A Complete FAILURE for burning lightscribe labels! This unit is not lightscribe recognized. Do not waste your money. It works fine as a DVD burner, however I've tried it on 3 different systems and none of them will see it as a lightscribe enabled drive.

Ordered this from 2 different places on Amazon. What was sent was not a lightscribe and Not even AGP each time. Contact dealer and said don't carry it.Should not advertise what they do not carry and should not send a different product without permission. classic bait and Switch.

I was disapointed when I first tried getting this dvd drive to work. It wouldn't play anything from the windows media player, quick time, real player, or anything I had. Iwas able to use it only with windows media player classic. That is the only reason I give it a 2.

I bought this item to use with my Asus netbook, and it has been essentially a complete failure.

First of all, it requires more power to run it than the netbook supplies, so I end up plugging the power cord into my desktop PC and the USB output into the desktop.

So far not so bad.

The only problem is that I can only get it to run maybe 5% of the time. It's completely hit or miss. What should take a couple of minutes loading a program onto my netbook takes maybe 45 minutes or longer fiddling with it if I get it to work at all.

Save your money.

I like it because it works without a separate power supply. It has saved me a lot of time transferring data between computers. So far its read and written everything ask of it.
