i was very disappointed in the quality of the headphones. the sound was is only a little better than your standard apple headphones (much more bass) and with the headphones i received the construction was subpar. even wearing the headphones with the cable behind my ear and trying all of the various silicone plugs, the headphones kept falling out. additionally the cable became unattached at the plug, exposing wires.

maybe i got a bum pair but my overall experience was pretty poor. for their price i thought i'd be getting the steak, but instead i got the sizzle.

(After a few days of use, compared to the Klipsch Image S4i Premium Noise-Isolating Headset with 3-Button Apple Control)

The good:
- The design is top notch - this will be the coolest pair of earphones you're likely to wear.
- Excellent rich base sound - really delivers the lower range significantly better than Klipsch S4i.
- The construction feels very sturdy and durable in every part, though only extended use will tell.
- 90 degree jack means that the pair should hold up being in a pocket over time.
- Plastic finish on ear buds and mic has a nice soft matte feeling.
- Mic is well placed and sound is clear on the other end.
- Cool packaging.
- Made by a small independent design studio in Denmark - worth supporting!

The bad:
- Compared to the Klipsch S4i There is a noticeable lack of clarity in the mid and treble range. The strength of the base overwhelms the rest of the sound. The best base response comes while wearing the foam tips, but that also dramatically muffles the rest of the range of sound (maybe someone with a different ear shape will have a different experience).
- Made for large ears (not a problem for me), but the size of the bud itself is larger than other jacks. However the size of the buds and weight of the cord (if not worn over the ears) makes the set slightly less comfortable than other in ears (though nothing as bad as the Apple torture devices included with every iProduct).
- Cord coil is cool looking, but more of a hassle than it's worth.
- No carrying case - though to be fair, I always end up jamming earbuds in my pocket no matter what's included.

I use in-ear headphones everyday while at work and at the gym. I needed a heavy duty set that would be comfortable as well as durable and these are the best that I have found to date. I have had pretty much all of the Monster in-ear sets and all of them have torn or frayed at the connector after a few months of use. The sound of the swirls rivals all of the Monster sets and the extra thick cable has so far out shined all that have come before it. However if you are looking for a set that will be used primarily for exercise then I would maybe look elsewhere. I have found myself constantly adjusting the ear pieces when I get sweaty and it can be very distracting. Other than that these are a great buy and I highly recommend getting a pair.

I just bought these amazing earphones and I'm still discovering them, so lets keep in mind that for the review. Time has always an impact.

I know that the perfect set of earphone on this planet does not exit, it will always have a flaw (at least the price...), and also because from what I've read so far in many many reviews here on amazon, perception of sound remains pretty subjective. Even the most aclaimd audiophile headphones can be critizied for something (too much or not enought bass, or treble or weight, or noise cancellation or whatever)

The "perfect earphones" don't exist "per se" because they also depend on the criterias you have: what kind of use you're planing to give, price, the size of your ears (!!), the shape and consistency of the buds, etc.

Well these AIAIAI are the earphones that come the closest to perfection for me. That's why I give 5 stars even if I consider they're ALMOST perfect.

Context: I'm looking for a set of earphones for a daily use, on the streets, public transportation, if I work outside my office / home etc. I also need something with a mic cause I use an iphone.
My criterias : resitance / sturdiness; confort ; sound quality above average.

(MAIN) criteria nº1 : sturdiness.

I'm sick of having to replace my earphones every 2-3-4-5 or 6 months cause they stop working. This is a universal flaw on earphones: they always brake, generally a bad contact problems at connectors, no matter how you treat them, with a lot of care or with a rough use. It's like they do make them fragile on purpose, I'm definitley sure about that. You may handle them with extra care and y anyway will stop working (even though sometimes, ironically, you use them roughy and they work for months).
