Tim Frasca is a noted authority on AIDS in Latin America and the Director of the CIPRESS Foundation in Santiago, dedicated to sexual health promotion. He lives in New York City. The research for this book was funded by a grant from the Ford Foundation.

It strikes me as strange that this book does not reference Silvana Paternostro's book on AIDS and Latin America, called "In the Land of God and Man."
