2.0 out of 5 stars black and white only, December 14, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: AIM/FAR 2008 (AIM/FAR: Airman's Information Manual/Federal Aviation Regulations) (Paperback)
There are several competing publishers who annually reproduce, print, and sell the Aeronautical Information Manual / Federal Aviation Regulations (AIM /FAR or FAR/AIM). These publishers are Jeppesen, ASA, Gleim, Aviation Week, and perhaps others. Unlike the other just-mentioned publishers, the Aviation Week - McGraw Hill 2008 edition, reviewed here, has a complete index, which is very helpful to home in on a particular topic. On the other hand, the entire contents of the Aviation Week - McGraw Hill version is printed in black & white only. That's a shame, because many of the source diagrams such as those of runway markings and navigation aids depend on colors to make sense. Other publishers reproduce this material in color.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Kindle Version of the AIM/FAR 2008, March 30, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: AIM/FAR 2008 (Kindle Edition)
The 5-star rating is for the Kindle version of the AIM/FAR 2008. It is nice to be able to carry this reference material in the Kindle. This adaptation has a functional table of contents with clickable links. It DOES include diagrams although some are quite tiny. A previous reviewer considered it a negative that the graphics are not in color. This is not an issue for the Kindle version since it is a gray-scale device. My only wish would have been for the complete Part 121 to have been included.
