Use only 2 weeks, perhaps 3 times. Never over 1500 watts. Product fails to work now.

DON'T BUY..I have fried 2 units in 2 years. same setup. never more than 1800w continuous. Received 2 units to replace the last fried unit both are DOA. specifically they fail under high temps. lets say 95F room temp.. found out from Aims they only test to room temp in the warehouse might be 85F. far from 55C in their specification.

bad inverter,
This review is from: AIMS Power 2500 Watt Power Inverter Value Product
This unit handles low power items OK. Only used it in the winter, so don't know how it would hold up under the heat. It did however, produce the full 120 volts AC, as we checked it with a multimeter. However, it was bought to run a 115 VAC deep well pump. This pump runs at 1800 watts continuous and has a surge of 2500 watts, or so they said. Since it should have a surge of 5000 watts, we hoped it would cover it. It didn't. When we called Aims, they told us the surge only lasts milliseconds, which is not enough to handle our pump. Junk.
