I like to jog around my neighborhood and like everyone else, enjoy listening to headphones. A few months ago I was jogging accross an intersection where all the cars were stopped. I could see the cross signal and just kept going. A police car went flying through the stop light and I could not hear it until I was about a foot away. I could have been killed!!

After that I jogged with the volume low but that didnt help me hear any better. I heard about these airdrives from some buddies in my yahoo group who like to jog as well. I got me a pair for $99.00. I thought it was kind of high but it's better than getting killed.

I am very pleased. The sound quality is top notch, they sound better than my ear buds I paid $200 for. I can crank up my tunes and still hear everything.

Overall, a fantastic product! well worth the price!

I love these headphones. They are comfortable, they sound great (a little bit light on the bass but fantastic mids and treble), they stay on my ears through all kinds of activities (from running to the treadmill and weightlifting to biking), they are a great solution to the new hands free law in California when driving on the cell phone, and the best part, they allow you to stay in tune with your outside environment, whether you are talking on the cell in the car, jogging on the sidewalk or riding your bike on the street, or walking around the grocery store. You don't have to shut yourself out anymore. If you want to talk to someone, just turn the volume down while leaving the headphones on. Great stuff!

I exercise outdoors, running and biking, and have been concerned about being able to hear what is going on around me while listening to my iPod nano. These earphones wrap around the ear and have the speakers positioned in FRONT of your ear canal. So, that said, you first have to get used to how they fit. The earpieces are comfortable for me and make sure to snug up the wires under your chin so they do not slip. The sound quality is good, but could use more bass, and the volume is not as loud as true headphones. However, I hear the traffic, which is just what I wanted to hear. Overall, this is a good quality product which allows you to go out and stay connected with the sounds in the environment. Will be using them regularly.

Audio on these headphones is terrible. These headphones sound like a $5 bargain basement set. It's like listening to an old 80's headset that is all treble and no bass. Would not recommend to others.

I pretty much agree with the majority on these earphones. They are very comfortable with the adjustable earpieces. They have limited bass response because they do not fit into the ear canal. You also need to set your equipment for the highest volume and adjust the Airdrives volume control accordingly. I use them when working out to hear outside sounds and voices and when walking to talk to other people. As long as you don't need the super base, they will do the job.

this item has a faulty switch,the last airdrives I got throuh my work lasted a year,before the wires broke,
the wires are very delicate if over bending occurs when putting it in the pouch provided they will break over time

I purchased two sets of these headphones. Within 2 months of average use (3-4 times a week),the right speaker stopped working. The company replaced them, and then the replacement stopped working altogether afer two months. The left speaker on the 2nd pair stopped working after 4 months of light use. The company would not warranty the 2nd pair as I did not have the original receipt any longer. I like the design for running, but the quality is suspect.

These phones have almost zero bass response. They are not suitable for listening to music, but are OK for audiobooks.

I purchased these earphones three weeks ago and they've been well-worth the money. I've recently begun outdoor running and I love that I can play my music nice and loud and still feel aware of my surroundings. For some reason the right earpiece sometimes moves around while I run, however these earphones are adjustable so I can bend them to stay and contour my ears (sweet!). I think these are perfect for outdoor exercising!

Minor downside: I used these at my local gym, which plays music throughout the space, and I had a difficult time hearing my music. Even with both my ipod and the volume slider at full-blast, the gym's music and the sound of the machines overpowered much of my music (including rap, i.e. Mista Fab and Eminem). Though it's kind of a bummer that they aren't as good in a noisy indoor environment, for my purposes, I still think these earphones are an excellent investment.

I purchased these a few months ago as the cheap earbuds that came with my iPod would make my ears itchy and irritated and would always fall out. I listen to music at work and was also tired of having to take the piece out of my ear each time someone came to talk to me. Also, as a female and exercising outdoors, I wouldn't be able to hear someone if they walked up behind me with regular earphones on.

I find them very comfortable since nothing is actually sitting IN my ear, they kind of hover right in front of your ear canal. The best thing about it is that you can hear what's going on around you. It makes me feel very safe when exercising outdoors alone. The volume function is also nice as I can adjust the volume without having to fidget with my iPod.

If there is a high level of noise (ie. a photocopier or if you're walking on a busy street) I can barely hear my music at high volume. Also, when I wear sunglasses, (since the earphones hook around your ears) it doesn't sit as perfectly on my ears since the sunglasses earpiece can prevent the earphones from sitting flush on my head. Not a huge deal for me though.

Since the speakers don't rest inside your ear canal, if you crank up the volume too loud, other people can hear what you're listening to. If you're looking for something with great acoustics or really loud volume, this isn't the product for you. This doesn't bother me as I don't usually crank up the volume on high when listening with earphones.

I purchased mine when the price was $70 and although I wish it was cheaper (like it is now), I think it was worth it. I love these earphones!
