I bought this for my SeaDoo watercraft, but haven't had the best success with it. Most of the negative reviews are about it busting at the seams... that hasn't happened to me, but it just hasn't been all that effective. I fill it with giant boulders, literally 30-40 lbs of rock and place it on the bottom of the lake and my ski moves all over the place off nothing but wind wake. If I were to leave the ski for an hour, it would surely crash into wherever the water took it, possibly rocks where the paint would get trashed!

I'll try it again at some point with less wind and perhaps that will make a difference. As of right now, not overly impressed. For me, it's made well enough so far but just hasn't worked from design perspective. If it doesn't work the next time I take it out, I'll be removing it from my SeaDoo and gain precious cargo space and would probably dock the product another star.

Update-

I completely gave up on this. Even with the slightest wake and the loaded to the gills with the heaviest rocks the anchor does keep a sub 1000 lb watercraft from moving wherever the wake wants to take it.

We loved the idea of taking our inflatable boat a few feet away from shore and anchoring to enjoy the sun while vacationing in the Cayman Island. Until it was time to go!!!! 20 feet under is really bad when one is trying to empty the contents of the bag in order to go back to shore! :-) We untied it from the boat and left it behind!!!!!

we purchased these for our jet skies and they are useful when you stop in one place for longer, because first they are heavy when you have to get them out of the water and second the rope keeps coming out of the the little sack, anyway you can buy them with confidence , they are good quality and we still use them

We use the anchor for a large float at our lake house. It holds well and has made the float much more relaxing. The only thing about the anchor is that it can be difficult to get out of the water. We used sand in the bag and when it gets wet, it gets heavier than 50 lbs.
