This set was right in our (low) budget and seemed right. I was skeptical about the size, my wife is 5'2 180lbs soaking wet, so the 'ADULT LARGE' worried me. However, all the pads are highly adjustable and while she has to tighten most of them to the max, they protect her and still allow movement.

The helmet is an awkward shape. It comes with Velcro pads to customize but my wife has told me 'it takes some getting used to'.

Overall, it's a beginner's set. This is not pro. It's for people farting around for the first time that are accident prone. It's saved my wife countless scraped knees and wrists, but that was when I was teaching her general balance and pushing.

This is a great set for the price, but only if your skater plans on piddling in the driveway.

For around $25, this is a great starter kit. These pads are no where near "high end", but they do offer good protection if skating street, small park, or small ramp. I'm an adult, wear a large or extra large t-shirt, and these pads fit well and are adjustable. However, I wear a 7 3/8 fitted hat, and this helmet is WAY too small for me. To be fair, my head is long and narrow, so there was plenty of space on the side, just none in the front/back! I tried to remove some of the inner padding and foam, but no luck. If you're just getting started, and if pads are a bigger deal for you than a helmet, this is a good step. Otherwise, you may want to check your local skate shop for a helmet.

I purchased this for my 18 year old son to use boarding. The helmet says it is an adult large but is way to small for an average size adult, and cheaply made. I would not feel safe using this gear for my son or anyone. I made the request that I wanted to return this for the reasons above and the seller lets me know I will have to pay for return shipping, even though the size given in the ad is clearly for a much smaller person, large child possibly. I would never have ordered this if the size given was correct. I definitely will not order from this company again!
