MovieDVsuite for Laptops and Notebooks offers a video solution for your portable PC: MovieDV Video software, a PCMCIA FireWire card, and a cable to connect the camera with the computer are all included. With MovieDVsuite for Laptops and Notebooks, video clips can be transferred from a digital camera to a laptop or notebook, edited, and animated, all while on the move. The included plug-and-play PCMCIA FireWire card is an IEEE 1394-compliant host adapter with three external six-pin connectors capable of speeds up to 400 Mbps. It supports up to a maximum 63 devices of four or six pins.

Using MovieDVsuite is easy. Collect the video you want to use or even capture footage directly from your DV camera using the included PCMCIA FireWire card and cable. Then simply drag and drop the clips onto the storyboard in the order you would like to view them, then place the desired transition between the appropriate clips in the storyboard. You can check your results using the real-time preview feature. Complete your video by refining or adding audio elements. Use favorite CDs or MP3s, or even add your own commentary with a microphone.

The product has all features to frustrate you within 3 minutes.

It's very difficult to use this product even if you are an experienced user. Horrible documentation...doesn't help much..

Effects provided are less... Rendering is slow...but belive me, it's a very powerful editor for the price....Offers very good composition features...but You need to spend a lot of time in figuring out how to use it .

All I know is I bought this item, it installed fine in Windows 2000 and then my laptops battery went dead, I mean DEAD! Wouldn't hold a charge at all and it was only 4 months old. My thinking is this card stays energized at all times and excessively loaded the battery.

Whatever you do please stay away from this terrible piece of software. There is no longer support on it any longer as the company has closed up shop.

The product is extremely difficult to use and very cumbersome. The only reason to buy this kit is to get the firewire card that is included for your laptop.

The software is no good.
