The front of the heels are pretty narrow. Maybe it will loosen up after a couple wears. Otherwise it's comfortable and sturdy. The black color is part patent leather and part suede material.

I purchased the neutral color and love it; it adds interest to an outfit by looking modern but is extremely comfortable. The slight platform, lightly padded sole, and well structure heel help this. You can't go wrong!
