Great chair for small game room,
This review is from: AK Designs AK 100 Rocker Gaming Chair (Gray/Black Skin) (Sports)
I love this chair. I'm an adult male who weighs a little over 200 lbs, and this chair is great for me. I use it when playing video games or watching television in our game room, which is really too small for more than one full-size chair.
I found it very easy to put together. The only problem I had is that one of the two that I bought came with instructions and the other didn't. Assembly was simple enough that this wouldn't have made a difference, except that I wouldn't have known that the extra strap it comes with is for extra support in the legs. If you're my size or larger, you need to use that strap (if yours doesn't come with directions, it simply wraps around the middle support of each leg under the chair). I'm very happy with my purchase.

The directions really need to be more indepth, allthough it's pretty simple to put together, the directions lead you to waste time.
Now allthough it is simple to put together, it is frustrating as while you try to put second arm on the other one falls off or the seat seperates from the back... this can hapen a few times. The rocker goes back to the point that your basicly on your back, so it takes a bit of getting use to to stay seated correctly. Comfort level is great, can play for a few hours without discomfort, really makes life better than sitting on the floor. My dog was not to pleased to see this thing tho, he growls at it first thing in the morning if it's not placed to his liking, so I guess keep your pets away, not sure if a more aggresive breed would attack it. Overall for the price this chair is great, Some may find that it can be difficult to put together as directions are not fully optimized.

I got this for my twelve year old son so I would have my desk chair when he plays video games, but I find it to be surprisingly comfortable for something with so little padding. I'm pushing 40 and go about 250lbs, but the only uncomfortable part is getting up out of it. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is the little plastic name plate on the front was broken off when it was delivered.

I purchased this chair for my teenage son. I found it easy to put together and it seems to be quite durable. He enjoys using it for reading and watching television.

Use the strap on the AK!,

I just bought an AK100 at Goodwill for $30.00! Like new in appearance. apparently it was there because a heavy person sat(or somebody plopped down in it too hard?) in it and busted the right leg rear(hidden)rail catch.
I see in another review that one is supposed to use the added support strap that connects the left/right rockers together. The design of the chair, with out-swept rockers is almost guaranteed to break(as this chair proves)if the strap is not attached and somebody is too heavy or plops down in it too hard. Which you KNOW is going to happen! I took some nice finished metal screws and placed several in strategic locations to hold it all together. It is more solid. It looks like they were meant to be there. Took me a whole five minutes. And I will take some black nylon strap(did not come with this used one)and connect the rockers as should have been done by original owner. But hey...no complaints...as it got me the chair for $30 and zero shipping! (: (: (: So...if you don't want your AK to wind up at a Goodwill...use the strap that comes with it. I loved this chair as soon as I saw it...now that I know what a great deal I got I love it even more! I gave it only 4 stars because there is no built in back-scratcher(!?)and the padding on the seat-cover is poor. I took it off; folded a plush bath towel in half lengthwise and screwed that into position; then reattached the seat cover. BIG difference in comfort. I will use this for gaming and self-hypnosis sessions. Oh...wait...they are the same thing!!!!

I was extremely disappointed by this product. The chair is made of 3 big plastic pieces that click in together. Since there is no screws or anything else the "safety" of the chair is "guaranteed" by a strap that ties the two bottom pieces. Once it is assembled, it cannot be folded in any way and considering the large size, storing it away can become a real issue. The chair is extremely hard and uncomfortable and the thin cover does provide any padding. Compared to other video games chairs (some with speakers) on the market I find this product overpriced.
