3.0 out of 5 stars Ok quality, but still overpriced., August 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Alright, I admit it. I was unfair in my first review of these kamas. I gave them only one star, because they appeared to be incredibly low quality, and I assumed they would break almost immediately. This did not happen, however. I am a theatrical director working in a children's theatre, and I used the kamas in a production of Romeo + Juliet. After a month of rehearsals and six performances, the kamas are still whole. It is possible that the actors simply took excellent care of them, but given that they are 14 years old, I think this is not likely the case. It is true that the wood was splintering when they arrived, though. And the price is still too high. When I purchased them, they were the only foam kamas listed. Now, I see there is another brand listed for significantly less, and the connecting point between the foam and wood appears to be even thicker.
