The C 2000 B is a genuine Austrian-built AKG microphone with excellent performance and high value. The C 2000 B's almost ruler-flat response delivers a crystal-clear ?up-front? sound that works well for voices, acoustic guitars, brass and woodwinds and for snare drums and percussion. The C 2000 B has a switchable bass roll-off filter and a 10-dB preattenuation pad. A built-in pop screen reduces unwanted noise that may be caused by plosives if the microphone is used close to its sound source. The C 2000 B is a side-address microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern that has its maximum rejection at 180 degrees, so it's easy to place and use. The microphone comes complete with H 100 elastic shock suspension and also has an internal shock mount to minimize footfall noise and vibrations transmitted through the mic stand to make it easier to use for live sound too.
