Aldo 'Bastide' - The Classic Plimsoll in a High-end Interpretation, March 26, 2009
The basic plimsoll has been a fashion staple in the UK and Eurozone for a few years now, and is just being discovered by fashion-conscious men in the US who want a sneaker that is more understated and elegant than your 'same-old, same-old' offering from NikeReebokNewBalanceEtcEtcEtc. Aldo uses the finest quality materials and workmanship to make a fashion sneaker that stands out by saying less. No garish logos (just a little 'Aldo' tag on the side; the best don't need to advertise!) or Michael Jordan figure on the heel. This is a wonderfully comfortable shoe for relaxing in style at the Country, Tennis, or Yacht Clubs, or just looking like you came from there. Classic elegant comfort: the Aldo 'Bastide' has these in spades!
