These are serious boots. The leather is thick and aromatic and the design is completely functional and comfy. The buckles aren't just for show. Without the buckles the shoe wouldn't stay on your foot so expect to take a minute to get them on and off--there aren't any hidden zippers.
Aldo runs small though. I usually wear 7.5 but I had to get an 8 in these.
