Alex Toys Wooden Stringing Sets - String a Farm offers a fun way for children ages three and up to improve their dexterity and fine motor skills. Your child will learn about animals and colors as he or she strings each of the 12 wooden farm beads onto the bright yellow cord with the attached wooden needle. The brightly colored blocks can also be used to develop language skills and encourage imaginative play.
Painted in bright colors with sweet details, the wooden String a Farm pieces include standard farm animals as well as a red barn, a yellow tractor, and a fruit tree. Each piece has a lengthwise hole for stringing.
The set includes a child-sized wooden needle attached to a yellow string. A small silo is attached to the end of the string, acting as a stopper to keep the strung pieces from sliding off the other end.
The chunky figures included in String a Farm are thick enough to stand up on their own, allowing children to use them to act out farm scenes. The whimsical designs and bright colors will delight the tot-sized crowd. You're sure to hear your child's favorite animal noises as they explore the textures, shapes, and colors of the String a Farm.
Stringing the animals improves dexterity and helps children master fine motor skills. String a Farm can also be used to help children follow sequences and introduce basic counting, colors, and vocabulary.
Our testers enjoyed making the animal noises as they threaded each animal with the wooden needle. Even though they also enjoyed letting the strung animals crash to the floor after they were finished stringing them, the sturdily constructed pieces did not show any signs of damage after several rounds of rough play.
Twelve wooden beads and cotton lace with needle and stopper.

My kids (ages 3 and 1) both really like this. Great for fine motor skills and verbal skills. My son loves playing with the farm animals and telling me what sound they make.Published 4 days ago by Rebecca McKenna
Great toy. My daughter is 12 months and is patiently teaching herself how to string the beads. She does drag the string behind her and the beads paint chips off very easily. Read morePublished 15 days ago by jessica
