The product works fine in any device that lets you see and use the DVD menu on the disc, such as a DVD player, CD-ROM player, or DVD-ROM player. The interface is a bit hokey, but it gets the job done. I like the design and construction of the disc. I do wish that Allsop had included instructions on cleaning the disc itself, which after only a few uses now has streaks of dust on it. I assume that a good CD or DVD cleaner will do the trick, but be careful not to damage those carbon fibers.

In addition to the lens cleaner, which is really the only reason to buy this item, the disc features a few tests for your home theater setup. Those who really want to check or tweak their system have more sophisticated choices available such as Digital Video Essentials.

From the product description above, I thought that this item would work in a home CD player, but so far I have been unsuccessful in that regard. Users who want a true multipurpose lens cleaning solution would be better off buying the Allsop Ultra Pro Lens Cleaner (Allsop Item 23321), which lacks the video tests but works in a wider range of devices.

I was sceptical... but after using it I stopped getting "verification failed" from my PC's DVDs.

Pay attention to the description - some of these disks do not work in PCs (only DVD players). This one works in a PC's DVD drive.

The Allsop DVD cleaner is good BUT it is not for CD players as it is mistakenly listed. I bought this to clean my CD player for which it does not work. It is better than the Maxell DVD laser disc cleaner however it is meant only, I repeat, only for your DVD player.
