I'm a Gearhead. I've been camping and backing over 30 years. I own gear quality from Dana Designs to Slumberjack. I am NOT owned by anyone or any name brand. I am always watching for great values. This is certainly a great deal.I bought a Mystique 1.5 and then after seeing it I bought the 2 Man. After rewalking Colin Fletcher's 1000 Mile Summer in 2000 and using Slumberjack's Summer Bivy I wanted to find a side opener that was a better quality. The Slumberjack worked well but lacked a little. I have since used the 1.5 on 40+ nights and still love it. The design and size is excellent and weight is pretty good. You can buy a lighter tent/bivy but I believe durability is going to go down if you go much lighter. If you can get this on sale you will be getting a killer product and a great price. I prefer the 1.5 over the 2 because I find the 2 to be a standard size two man tent where as the 1.5 gives you plenty of room without too much weight. Plus the company has very good service for both the casual and the pro outdoors person. Hope you enjoy this product, Hersh

I have used this tent once so far on a backpacking trip. The tent is pretty quick and easy to set up but it is diffucult to get the sag out of it between the large pole and the small pole. After I had the rain fly on I was able to pull the large pole forward and have the rain fly keep it in place. This reduced some but not all of the sag. I may have to add a bungee and another stake to solve this issue. It is a good size for one person. A little bigger would be nice but for backpacking sake you want to keep it small and light. I found that this tent rolled up smaller than the factory description. I experienced very light rain during the night in this tent. I had no moisture issues with rain or condensation. Overall I am pretty satisfied.UPDATE- I have now used this tent on five different backpacking trips and have experienced heavy rain in it. I have had no condensation or rain issues. On my second trip I discovered the adjustable vent at the head of the tent and that works quite well. I still have not quite worked out the sag issue but overall I am quite happy with this tent. The tent has also held up very well.

Good little tent,

This tent is fairly lightweight and easy to carry. It sleeps 1 person fairly comfortably with some extra room for gear. The only issue I have with it is that it isn't self standing. It has to be staked in to stand. This has presented a problem for me camping in the sierra when only granite is available. If you will be camping where it's all dirt then no problem.
