These are my favorite bibs! My mom found these when my twins were babies at a small children's store in a tiny little Texas town. I own 4 of them now. We used them with my twins and now my singleton (all boys). I'm so glad these are availble now on Amazon. They are great gifts for little boys. Here's why:
1. They are durable! All the other laminated bibs (bumkins, etc) I bought when my twins were babies look pretty bad now. But these 4 bibs still look great!
2. Full coverage. My boys, and I suspect all boys, are MESSY! I love that these have sleeves and are very big. We used them from 6 moonths to around 36 months.
3. They tie in the back on the neck instead of velcro. Little boys like to see how fast they can pull velcro bibs apart. They don't go over the head, like other elastic bibs, which never seem to fit around the neck and allow food to get under the bib. This is the main reason we bought these bibs.
4. They are laminated- easy to wipe clean. For really messy feeding, they go in the washer. I don't dry mine in the dryer... I'm not sure if you are supposed to or not.
The one caution I would give-- the trim is fabric ribbon, so if you have a light colored trim on the bib and you feed your kid blueberries, it will still stain.
These new designs are cute, but there are not as many good boy options as there were in the little store that used to sell them.
I just bought one of these for my pregnant friend.

The bib is made from nice water-proof fabric. I love the pattern, and it's long enough to cover the whole front of my toddler (yay!). Front pocket works well. The only thing I don't like is the areas where the bib cuts in under the arms and then goes out wide again (doesn't really show in the pictures because the lower part of the bib is folded in). The bib wraps around the child's body and covers the clothes well but leaves the underside of the arms/sleeves uncovered all the way up to the armpits (so rolling up the sleeves doesn't really help). When my child eats at the table the underside of the arms get messy from the food on the table and bib.

Easy to put on and to clean. It definitely helps protect clothes from spills and looks quite stylish on our little one. Love it!

These bibs are just what I needed for my autistic 3 year old. He is a very messy eater and he would pull all the velcro-closure bibs off repeatedly during meals. After every meal, I'd have to change his clothes, which makes for too much laundry duty! These bibs are so large that his shoulders, collar, shirt front, and even his lap are protected from his messes. The tie-closure keeps the bib secure despite his attempts to pull it off. And, while it doesn't show in the photo, there is actually a sleeve opening - a sort of strap that runs under the child's arm. That extra element keeps the sleeve securely in place. I have both hand washed and machine washed (hanging to dry), and these bibs are holding up nicely. 5 stars for making my life easier! A bit pricey, sure, but worth it.
