More About the Author

Mark Waid, a New York Times bestselling author, has written a wider variety of well-known comics characters than any other American comics author, from Superman to the Justice League to Spider-Man to Archie and hundreds of others. His award-winning graphic novel with artist Alex Ross, KINGDOM COME, is one of the best-selling comics collections of all time. (Secretly, however, he prefers SUPERMAN: BIRTHRIGHT and his IRREDEEMABLE collections as his favorite works he's produced.)

With over twenty years of experience in his field, Waid maintains a blog at www.markwaid.com that is full of advice for beginning writers and experienced authors both.

Ask for specifics before you buy, unfortunately don't just assume that the picture shown and the vague title is what your getting.

This comic, with "now President" Obama was of great interest to me and I know it will be to him.

I purchased this and thought I'd get a full-fledged story but ended up getting a brief tale about Spidey saving obama, and another story about Mary-Jane and Peter. A little disappointing since it had such little to do with any election.

Since I've been viewing the various animated Spiderman DVDs, I decided to buy this issue and for the most part I enjoyed it. There was only one fight involving a bad guy, and he was as wimpy of a supervillain as you can get. Spiderman creamed him and spun him in a web! Why don't those fools realize there is no beating The Amazing Spiderman!

I liked the storyline, however. Betty Brandt and Peter Parker's friendship is on display, which I really liked. Too, Robbie Robertson and a mystrerious J. Jonah Jameson in a different incarnation only add to the story's plotline. My curiosity is so piqued that I gotta' get the next few issues to find out how things get resolved.

The Chameleon vs. President Obama! Enough said. Thank you Spiderman for saving the day and our president from being replaced by a dangerous imposter!

The comic was good, with a cover that may become collectible (flag background), however, I was under the impression that it would have been a first or second printing, not a third.
