I ordered this case for my iPad 2 after reading the mixed reviews. I have to say that the case is absolutely beautiful in person and I love it! I will confirm that the sleep/wake function does not work very well however, but this is not a big deal to me as I can easily touch the switch at the top of the iPad to turn it off. The cover does smell like new plastic, but it is not as overwhelming as some reviews made it seem. It does not need airing out at all. There was also a review from someone who stated that the case did not secure the iPad at all. I also saw a review on YouTube stating the same thing. The case does fit properly and easily snaps into all four corners and I am happy about this as this was my main concern. There are three ridges to hold the iPad upright, and the first one does not hold the iPad in very well at all. It slips out without even a touch. The other two work perfectly. In portrait mode, all three ridges hold the iPad upright. All in all I would recommend this case if you just need something to keep the iPad in and keep it secure. If you need perfect execution of all the features as advertised for this case, perhaps it would be better to get the Targus 360 instead. This case is strictly for covering the iPad and for extra security while you're carrying it around. If your going to be blogging and need the ridges to properly hold the iPad upright or if you are always on the go and need to know that when you close the case the iPad will turn off, this case is not for you. I hope this review helps the next customer.

I just received my red case today and love the red color. The glossy crocodile leather texture feels and looks more expensive than it really is. The case is sturdy and seems strong enough to be thrown inside a backpack or a purse without worrying about scratches or breaking my iPad. The sleep and awake feature works well but I do have to use the elastic band to keep the case closed.
I almost bought the RooCase convertible case because of the raving reviews but at the last minute picked this one because the RooCase doesn't protect the corner and also heavier than I want. I'm glad I got this one instead and a bit surprised that it doesn't have a lot of reviews. This is my first review and I'm only doing it to help others. If you love red and like the rich look without losing the functionality (protection and sleep/wake features), you will love this case.
After few months of gently used, I found the rubber layer on one of the corner is falling apart (i would upload picture but don't see where i can). I think I can glue it back. The outer cover is also showing some wear and tear. I don't mind this so much but you may need to consider if you like the case to stay close to perfect condition. I'm the only person who uses my iPad and I handle it very gently.
When using the case in landscape position, the last outer notch for standing doesn't work. The iPad keeps collapsing whenever I attempt to use it. Also, I started to notice the smart cover sometimes doesn't work. This still doesn't bother me that much.
I'm degrading the rating from 5 to 3 stars because of what I mention above. I still love the vibrant color and I think it protects my iPad pretty well so far.

I had a problem on my hands: As soon as I opened the packaging I could see the glint in my boyfriend's eye- the sign that he would never, ever leave my precious new Kindle alone.
In fact, for the two days waiting for this cover to be delivered I got to strategically see my new kindle exactly once- while he was distracted by his iPad- which was quite the feat!
I needed something to protect my kindle from slips, scrapes and boyfriend.
Bought this- First, it is not at all opaque as the picture suggests.
It is quite thick, sturdy, glossy, easy to clean and has a transparent ombre effect once snapped on the kindle.
It is not gooshy or rubbery at all, very stiff and secure.
I like the textured nubs along the sides.
Another plus, The price was right.
Last and most important: The pink color is not a pepto-bismol/paris hilton/Barbie sort, more of a lipstick/rose fuchsia- which I appreciate... and it repels techo-obsessed Boyfriends, which is important if you ever want your Kindle all to yourself!

I really debated which cover to get and finally settled on this one. I was nervous because of the price that it would be poor quality but I was very happily surprised when it arrived! The cover protects the corners of my iPad which was essential for me, it's padded enough to protect my iPad but still thin and not bulky. The inside is padded and soft where the screen and cover meet and there is an elastic band for extra assurance the cover will stay closed. The magnets work perfect to turn off and on the screen. The only thing that doesn't work is the last of 3 stand positions but that's not a big deal to me. I also love that you can stand the screen horizontal or vertical. For this cover I would have paid much more and still been happy!!

I purchased this case in mid May and I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I didn't read the reviews before I purchased it, but I am glad I didn't because I probably would not have purchased it. I have read a lot of mixed reviews. This is what I have found out about my case so far...
1. 360 swivel- Mine swivels perfectly. No issues at all.
2. Not holding the iPad securely- Mine holds my iPad securely with no problems. I have never had mine slip out or not fit at all.
3. Elastic band- The band on mine did not come in black as the picture advertises. It actually came in a tan color but it was not an issue for me.
4. Landscape stand up positions- My iPad sits in all the ridges without any problems. It doesn't slip out unless I am moving or touching the iPad too much. (Too much as in typing or playing a game- for the typing issue I purchased a foldable, travel keyboard that works wonderfully through bluetooth.) While watching movies or my cable (through the Time Warner Cable app) my iPad stays in the propped position of my choice whether landscape or portrait.
5. Sleep smart case- My case puts my iPad to sleep. I will say, I have noticed that once it puts it to sleep if I move the case, say to put it in my bag or lay it down on a table, I have noticed that it will wake my iPad up but then puts it back to sleep right away.
Those were the main issues I saw posted so I wanted to give my experience thus far.

I'm a first time amazon buyer, but could not find the perfect ipad2 case for me so I gave it a try. I am very impressed with the Whole order from easy purchasing, to receiving my product in excellent condition, to the fast shipping! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone! It has a very smooth 360 degree swivel. The wake sleep function is awesome, it saves a lot of battery life! I love this product!

Make sure you buy this case from Ctech, which is also Fulfilled by Amazon.
The things that i was looking for in an ipad case were:
1) A professional looking leather case, which fully protects my New ipad 3.
2) All ports and buttons including the camera should be accessible while my ipad is still in the case.
3) Three built in groves in the case for resting the iPad.
4) A case that is fully functional including the 360-degree rotating feature.
5) A case that has a stylus holder (The stylus comes free with the case--you don't have to buy one--it is the rubber kind of a stylus and not the brush kind, but it still works).
Not that I am a regular user of the stylus, but you never know when it might come handy.
6) A strap, which covers the camera lens when wrapped, around the case.
7) A case that supports the smart cover function: open to wake, close to sleep.
8) A cut at the back, which shows the apple logo at all times.
This case seems to have all of the above mentioned and seems very durable for the price.
The only tiny quibble about this case would be that the ipad seems to fall on its back when placed in the landscape mode, (Horizontal) in the first grove (the outer most grove) when used to type.
I would recommend this to a friend.
BEWARE OF KNOCKOFFS -- DO NOT BUY from Dan's Natural and Just products.

When I purchased the product, it stated it was being sold by Tech Solutions and fulfilled by Amazon. Apparently this is not true, as today when I sought to leave this review, I see the company name is Dan's Natural and Just Products. More importantly, the case received is not at all as pictured. There is no white stitching, the inside is black, not grey, there is no stylus holder and it does not seem to properly hold my iPad 3. The iPad does not "snap" in which makes me believe this is for an iPad 2 not 3. The magnets to put the iPad to sleep-well they worked...intermittently. Sometimes my iPad would sleep when I closed the case, sometimes it wouldn't. Same for waking when I would open it. Worst part is that while the iPad was closed and I was carrying it, you could hear the magnets going on and off. Must be because the elastic band to secure the cover is not very strong and clearly does not keep the cover from shifting back and forth.
Seems like a bait and switch here...do not buy this cover, I will be returning it for sure.

This is a case that "clips" on to the four corners. The back is plastic and has little tabs that come around. Very flimsy plastic and doesn't work. We bought 2 different ones in different colors and the case would just pop off, like it was bent/formed the wrong way. So, if you are carrying the case, the ipad could pop off and you're left holding the case and the iPad is littered in mangled little pieces across the ground.
Also, the magnetic cover doesn't work. There is a thicker foam front for the stand part and you can see the screen continue to glow even when the cover is in place.
Do not order. Have returned both.

Don't let the 4 Stars give you the wrong impression. This is a good product. I rarely give 5 Stars, because I feel there's always room for improvement. Now, on with my review ...
I prefer not to pay for the overpriced Apple Smart Covers, which I feel should've been included with the iPad 2, (ie. Bumpers were included on the iPhone 4). Smart Covers leave the back of the iPad 2 unprotected. If I bought a Smart Cover & compatible protection for the back, it would cost a bunch. It would cost even more if choosing a leather Smart Cover.
I like the Targus Versavu 360, but it was too pricey and no Smart Cover Feature. I chose this case because it gave the functionality of the Targus Versavu 360 with built-in Smart Cover Feature. I don't think the design specs leave wiggle room to add Ghost Armor to the back, which isn't good or bad ... I just wanted to mention that. All the ports, switches, buttons, Apple logo opening, and camera holes are precisely lined up & accessible. White leather with that expensive leather smell is a bonus, and all for just under $20 (including shipping) =0p...
