I definitely feel like this provides great bang for my buck!

It plays videos, games (moderately, not too great), and handles all the tabs, pictures, music, and anything else you can think of without any problems at all.

Integrated graphics is great and I'd suggest to for individuals doing light to moderate computer use, including watching videos, etc.

I must say I am quite happy with this purchase. I bought this CPU along with RAM, Motherboard, and Case for about $170 all combined...opened up an Amazon Credit Card and got just about everything I needed for an HTPC for about $120 ($50 promotional credit for opening the Amazon Visa).

I am using this CPU mainly as an HTPC. I do not have cable service so I do not use it for any encoding and I cannot comment on how it would do for this, but for web browsing, Youtube, Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, etc, it runs fine.

Netflix on a Windows PC is, unfortunately, very processor intensive due to Silverlight and its DRM requirements, which actually keeps this CPU at around 60-70% when watching HD.

The computer I'm using this CPU in is running Windows Server 2008 R2 and is also functioning as a domain controller with a few roles (DHCP, DNS, Hyper-V with 2 VMs (Win 7 for remote access and Linux for a fileserver) and has not been having any trouble. I have not really tried too much with gaming on this APU but I plan on getting a AMD Radeon HD 6570 discrete graphics card to go along with it in the near future. This is the discrete card which AMD recommends to take advantage of the "Dual Graphics" option for this line of APUs. There are several models of graphics cards with this chipset available on Amazon between $40 and $70 right now and I feel like this would be a worthwhile upgrade should I ever decide to game with this APU.

I bought this processor for my home theatre PC, and the graphics are great. The streaming video is awesome, and the price point seems really reasonable. I definitely feel like this provides great bang for my buck!

I do some light video editing so nothing to intensive and this processor has`t fail on me yet. Games are actuall nice and the games I`ve played is League of legends, Grind 3, Minecraft, Left for dead 2 and more. In my opinion I find that I get better fps on Windows 7 than Windows 8. For Minecraft players out there is cpu is alright but don`t expect best proformance. The more mods you put in the slower gameplay will be so be carefull. HD content is awesome, nothing has slowed down yet. This cpu will be great for people who is just doing light gaming and web browsing. Hope it helped you out.

The stock clocks with turbo disabled tested more than good enough for my HTPC build, so I concentrated on lowest energy use and heat. Stability testing was done with IntelBurnTest, 3DMark11 and Furmark. Post/boot tests showed that NB/GFX voltage could not go quite as low as they could in Windows, but the difference was minimal. The voltages below are fully stable and what I am running at now:

CPU = 1.125 volts (BIOS) stable for 1 hour IBT (30+ passes)
NB/GFX = 0.975 volts (BIOS) stable 3DMark11 (multiple passes) and 3 hours Furmark

Energy use tested at wall with Kill-a-Watt (monitor not included):

Sleep = 2 watts; Windows desktop @ idle = 17 watts; Netflix HD movie streaming = 25-30 watts; IBT = 49 watts; Furmark = 58 watts

The numbers say it all. All around efficient little processor for HTPC.

I am using this Processor for a low profile HTPC, connected to my 50" HDTV. I am using this computer to stream internet videos, surfing internet and playing media from the local HDD.

So far, it is doing it s job very well. I was worried about the overheating issue as it is in a low profile case, typically runs with only CPU cooling fan and does not have additional chassis fans. However, no overheating is observed. I used a cpu temperature monitoring software to log the core temps during the usage and found to be working in the normal range of 65 C to 70 C when Playing internet HD movies.

The cooling fan is up to the capacity but little noisier.

Very good price point and value for money as I bought this processor during Christmas '12, when it was relatively new in market. Intel i3 was almost twice the price and would not have given me any considerable functional benefit in my everyday usage.

This APU handles light gaming , photoshop and AutoCad educational version with ease.
I would recommend this CPU to anyone who is looking for a decently capable processor at a reasonable price.

NOTE - I had difficulty finding ITX motherboard with FM2 socket for small form factor HTPC, however I believe that I would have utilized this APU to its fullest potential when I had used a better, feature rich MO BO, which are usually larger.

I bought one of these from a competitor, only realizing Amazon sold this apu for less. Too late now.

To the point, I use this apu in a cheap htpc for light uses like youtube, watching daily show, and screwing around on Ubuntu without worrying about losing anything important when I screw up in the command line. It seems to work fine for all this so far.

It's great for those on a budget. With this, I can piece together a decent computer with hd capabilities and add better components as I can afford them and want them. I'm planning on eventually throwing in a better cpu cooler and a graphics processor card, but I don't feel rushed into buying them in order to have a functional hi-def htpc.

edit: After using this for couple weeks, I still think it's awesome for the price. If you are using it for Ubuntu, I'd recommend one of the lighter flavors like lubuntu, xubuntu, or gnome fallback. I originally started out with normal Ubuntu 12.04, and while the cpu did not struggle at all, I prefer my computers to be more lean and efficient rather than simply looking nice. I changed to gnome fallback without effects, and it just sips the processor power. It went from 6-8% when just running teh os without any open apps to about 2-5% after making this switch. I also tried lubuntu and xubuntu. They work well too. Xubuntu is my second choice.
