I had a athlon 64 3500+ before and it was a single core. i didn't know i could just buy another AM2 processor and drop it in. i bought the dual core 5000+, took my old computer apart, dropped in the new processor, let windows load. windows wanted to reboot, and voila.. i think i have about double the processing power, and things are definitely a lot more snappy.
