5.0 out of 5 stars Good!
I'm gamer but not extreme, with this I can play anything combined with other stuff of course. I made some O.C. and it runs perfect. I added a Zalman Fan Cooler to prevent overheating. Recomended!

1.0 out of 5 stars Amazon sent the wrong CPU Twice
AMD makes a great CPU... but beware, if you order this item then Amazon will send a socket AM2 CPU and not a socket 939 CPU. It happened to me with the initial order and again with the replacement order.

This processor is perfect for me. I expected a little more out of it because it's a dual core but it still is a step up from what I had before. Also for a dual core it stays really cool with the help of Arctic Silver which I highly recommend.

This went into a Compaq Presario SR2020NX,upgrading the CPU from an old Opteron .The speed increase was impressive and now HAL is running Windows Ultimate X64 with blinding speed.I even tested out the latest Beta of Windows 8 using this setup.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Dual Core performance, March 3, 2008

This review is from: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4200+ 2.2 GHz Processor with 89-Watt Power, Socket- AM2, ADA4200CUBOX (Personal Computers)
If you want to have a gaming CPU easy on the wallet, this is the sweet spot. Performs great all over, for extra punch in games make sure to download the drivers and timing optimizer from AMD, and another good thing is that there are bigger x2, x3 and x4 CPU's that use the same slot, so if after some time you need more power, those prices should eventually go down. ME, I am happy with it now and I dont plan on changing for a while. So go ahead and buy it if you want to go Dual Core today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast CPU, January 2, 2008
This review is from: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4200+ 2.2 GHz Processor with 89-Watt Power, Socket- AM2, ADA4200CUBOX (Personal Computers)
Along with a new MB and 2GB DDR2 ram, this CPU greatly enhanced my computing experience. Installation presented no problems, chip runs fast and cool with only a standard heatsink and fan. Average temp for processor is 36 degrees celsius. This is an excellent chip for a good price. Buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great performance for a low price, December 17, 2007

Great performance! If you have a low budget and are looking for a gaming PC, this CPU is for you (3800+ X2 can do the trick too if you can get it). The price tag for this baby's performance is a steal. I tried higher processors and performance difference impact on games is minimal. I'll stick with this one for now. No more power than this is needed. Today's GPUs do all the raw gaming work.

This processor is fast. It works quiet, in fact shhhh listen, hear anything on my end see quiet did i mention fast and sweet.
Yeah man I'm running PhotoShop Illustrator and Quark all a the same time and it's not even like it's being bothered. I had my bro over clock it a bit and it's still ticking. If you're planning on buying a Processor choose this one
It's worth every penny literally it's $99.99, lol
