This is a very good over-clocking chip.
Marie Daniels
This was best choice I ever make of buying AMD FD6350FRHKBOX FX-Series processor and I'm real happy with the product.
ROGER
Stock heatsink/fan looks pretty with its copper heatpipes but is completely insufficient to cool this monster.

This is a fast processor and a step-up for the FX 6300. Here are some of the differences between the two.

FX-6300 3.5 Ghz with turbo 4.1 Ghz and 8 MB of L3 cache, with a TDP of 95 Watts.

FX-6350 3.9 Ghz with turbo 4.2 Ghz and 8 MB of L3 cache, with a TDP of 125 Watts.

so in essence it is faster and more power hungry version of its predecessor. This is a very good over-clocking chip.

Note: At the time of this review there was absolutely no information on this CPU here at Amazon and I did not purchase it, it is solely to help those not knowing the specs. I would purchase it and would recommend it if needed. I have the FX 8350.
Good luck.

This 6-core processor was built for multitasking (and overclocking- mine's running overclocked at 4ghz- 29C idle with stock heatsink and fan- Pretty great if you ask me!)

What many people don't know about processors for gaming is that more cores does not always improve performance. You could buy an Intel processor for around this price range with less cores and runs games around the same or better.

However, if you're like me, and do heavy video editing and habitually have a lot of applications open at once, you want this thing.

6 cores of delicious power, just for you to do whatever you like with.

I am a big fan of my new processor and I would recommend it to a friend.

Bought this for a gaming/htpc rig. I have not overclocked but may in the future. I use it for ffxiv and movies. Could I have gone with a less expensive one? Yes. This does everything ill ever need it for. Stock it makes a 7.6 on the wei index, if that matters. I bought it on sale for 129.00 and would do so again. Fyi the stock fan is LOUD, it does work. I recommend an after market air cooler even if your not over clcoking. Itll cut the noise down and leave an option to overclock.
Rig:
Asrock extreme 3 mobo
G skill 8 g ram 1600 ( red)
Xfx hd 7750 ( yes I know, need a more powerful card)

The AMD fx-6350 is an outstanding processor. I currently upgraded from an FX 4100 quad core 3.6 GHZ to this 3.9GHZ processor. The six cores are more so only utilized with demanding applications, photo/video editing applications, but it works well with my current pc setup. Having this coupled with the EVGA Gtx770 SC/acx is a beast. My machine runs games on ultra settings without breaking a sweat. This matched up with my Crucial SSD also makes the machine even faster! For the budgeted consumer who wants stellar performance, this is the cpu you want!

Installed this in a gaming rig, and am very happy with it. It runs Skyrim with a ton of mods on Ultra High with no lag at all, doesn't over heat, and I have not heard any of the fan noise some have mentioned.

My build
Gigabyte GZ-G1 Plus case
Gigabyte 970A-D3P Mobo
AMD FD-6350 FX
16 GB Ballistic Sport 1600 MT/s RAM

ASUS GT640 2GB GPU

I have purchased two of these processors over the past 6 months and could not be happier. I replaced my old AMD dual cores with these and the performance of my machines has skyrocketed. I believe that for the money, you can find no better processor.

The thing is just an absolute monster. Along with my MSI OC'd gtx 670 I can play just about any game on max settings. It's a great cpu for overclocking as well. I'm using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and idling at 11 degrees Celsius at the standard 3.9ghz clock speed. I'd recommend this cpu to any AMD user out there.

Before I start, I'd like to point out that I ordered my parts at Newegg due to the promotions they had going on at the time (that's why my review won't say 'verified purchase' or whatever..), but this chip is powerful. 6 cores, 3.9 GHz overclock-able to 4.2 and still remains cool with stock heatsink (I applied Arctic silver thermal compound, def recommend you remove stock compound).
My rig is entry-level in the PC gaming world but performs in all its functions exceedingly well:
- NZXT Source 210 Elite mid tower case
- 500 watt evga bronze psu
- 2 tb WD hdd
- Gigabyte Ud3p AM3+ mobo
- 8 GB (2 x 4gb) Ripjaws x ddr3 ram
- Evga gtx 750 ti superclocked gpu
- AMD fx-6350 black edition cpu

With this package, most new games run at 1080p on high at 45-60 fps and in conjunction with the 6 core vishera, video editing and multitasking comes easy. You don't have to dish out an extra $150-200 for Intel in my opinion. All this raw performance for around $500 isn't possible without the FX-6350.
